The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated5out of5byPortland JockfromInitially unsure, but liking them a lot.I was looking for a pair of shoes to try trail running on some forest - read mud - trails around here. These scored well in the reviews.
Sized wise they fit almost perfectly. I have a wide foot, but no issues with the width, or scrunched toes and they provide decent arch support. The one concern I had was with the heel. It didn't feel quite as snug and secure as the Saucony ones. However I much preferred the more aggressive tread pattern on these and figured I'd try them out.
I've ran with them 3 times, each time around 6-7 miles. The fit is great, no issues from the heel. The tread is awesome, gives a lot of grip and doesn't get clogged up too much. Haven't really tested how they resist water, they've been fine with the odd puddle I've came across, but no heavy testing yet.
The lacing system is pretty good, although I much prefer the elastic 'Speedlaces' type if I'm honest.
Very happy so far.

Rated5out of5byBoomer0369fromSpeedcross 2 just bought 2nd pairI bought these for trail running in my local metropark, and these did not disappoint. Have had them on the trail with great traction and I think generally light weight. I was concerned about the sizing, so I wore them around the house thinking I was going to send them back, but alas they are a perfect fit. I've been trail running around 20 miles a week since the weather broke and not a single blister, rub mark, or hotspot. Highly recommend, and just bought my 2nd pair black instead of the red.

Rated5out of5byWolfe1221fromFavorite shoe by farI bought this shoe while I was in Northern Illinois in the fall and winter it is my go to shoe for anything in the snow, mud, dirt, or gravel. The only downside is that for three months it was my only water resistant shoe, so I wore it everywhere seeing is Chicago is covered in snow and muck for 7 months out of the year. The tread wore down a little faster then I would have liked and they become very slick on smooth wet surfaces, but when it comes to what they are made for you can't find a better shoe! Note: they are water resistant not proof. I ran through a small creek no higher then mid shoe and my feet got soaked. Great for wet conditions; not submersion!

Rated5out of5by26pt2runnerfromOutstanding winter running shoeI purchased these after many disappointments in finding a lightweight shoe with good traction for winter running. I train outdoors on snow-packed trails and these shoes have proved ideal. First, the have a very good chevron shaped lug design on the shoe foot plate. They reject slushy snow quite well. By far the biggest surprise is how they feel under foot. You notice the light weight and cushy yet responsive compliance. They feel like a racing flat. The lugging looks clunky and I expected an awkward dry road ride but the shoe responds very well on dry roads too. I have run with this shoe on an indoor track to extend a long run and they feel perfectly at home. Awesome shoe.

Rated3out of5byStitch JonesfromMehI really want to like this shoe more than I do, but I don't see that happening. The toe box is too narrow (at normal width) for my liking and I have narrow feet. I will say though, after 30 miles in them they do feel much better than they did on day one.

Rated5out of5byangela7171fromLightweight & dependableAlthough I normally wear a womens size 7, I'm using these shoes in a mens size 11 during World's Toughest Mudder 2013 (worn over thick wetsuit booties). During many long training weekends in Big Bear, I've worn them in the lake, in the mud, uphill, downhill, while carrying tires, without tires, on trails, on rocks, over walls... you get the idea. Reliable stability and unbeatable grip. Surprisingly lightweight too. I've also purchased them in a womens size 7 for regular old trail running and I will never switch back to the heavier, less grippy Salomon trail shoes that I used to wear. Salomon really doesn't need to manufacture any other trail shoes besides this one!
