The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated5out of5byMrMadonefromExcellent ProductAs a avid road cyclist who covers several thousand miles a year, I spend quite a bit of money on gear and expect it to work. This little light has yet to let me down. It weighs little, mounts easily (either by clip or by plastic mounting brackets that are included) and is bright enough (maybe even annoying in "flash-mode") to be seen during a sunny day. While it is not waterproof, I would say it is pretty water resistant. I have used it on many multi-day bike tours covering hundreds of miles of open road in all kinds of weather (wet, cold, dusty etc.) and it has not failed me in over three years of use. I have only replaced the batteries 3 times during that period. For the money this is a good investment.

Rated4out of5bypdxhikercyclerfrommuch better than beforeI like this newer version than the older one. The older model eventually got loose in the bracket and kept falling off if I went over a bump or tracks. Planet Bike took care of that issue with the clip-in attachment. Also, the rubber on/off button is way easier to use while on the ride.

Rated5out of5byJesse06gfromFor the price... Perfect! This light was not expensive and easy to install. More importantly the strob light is extremely bright and even has a setting for use as a continous red light.

Rated3out of5byall weather bike commuterfromnot weatherproofI very much like this light for its brightness and the flash pattern. However I am disappointed with the weatherproofing. The rubber gasket does not seal the light sufficiently. After a few days of use for my daily commute on wet roads water and road salt picked up by the tires work their way into the light and it stops working. Sometimes a thorough drying solves the problem but not always. I am now on my 3rd in as many years. The sales person at my Boston REI told me that 1 year of daily use from a bike light was reasonable. I am not sure I agree. I will try sealing this one with tape before installing.

Rated4out of5byfotooutdoorsfromGreat except in the rainThe good: this thing is bright and an attention-getter. I haven't had any issues with it (that weren't my own fault, like damaging mounting hardware) until this week when it rained three days straight. I knew I was in trouble when a friend I was riding with asked why I didn't have a rear light. "No worries," I thought as I reached for my backup. The backup failed on day 2, also because water got inside. So, if you get this light, watch for issues in the rain.

Rated4out of5byjerroldjorgensfromA good light but...Pros: simple light with a lot of different riding/ mounting options. I like how you can easily remove the light from the mount and take it with you. The light is very easy to operate, only one button. It seems pretty jiggle proof as I have gone over quite a few bumps with no problems.
Cons: When I first got the light I thought it was not very bright, I got it in the middle of the day. After riding it at night my thoughts have changed a little bit, but I'm still not blown away with how bright it is. The main mounting system is good and solid but I found myself fiddling with it to try to get the light centered, because as you wrench the mount down the angle of the light can shift a little bit.
