I've had this headlight going on 3 years now. So right out of the gate, it gets high marks for durability. The function button got a little finicky about a year ago where I had to press it a couple times to get it working, but that issue has resolved itself (maybe some moisture trapped inside or something).

The Beamer 3 is more of a "Be Seen" light than a "See" light. It will light up a dark way kinda enough to travel, but it is not strong enough to really-safely give you enough light to avoid all the hazards of the road. But, the flashing mode gives what I want - a steady cadence and not that frenzied strobe you see on other lights. It's good enough to let the cars know I'm there.

Battery life is good, but I use rechargeable AAs so I never really notice.

Attachment to the handlebar is easy and intuitive and I like that you can slide the light off the mount effortlessly.

Above all, this little guy has lasted which I place a high priority on. Rain, winter slop, cold temps, 100 deg. heat, it's seen it all and still works. It's good value for the money

My only issue is that the mount is hardly adjustable and doesn't fit on my handle bars. I have a basic single speed road bike. I've decided out of laziness to keep it and just rig up some sort of contraption to keep it on snug.

Other than that, it seems like a great buy. I'm impressed with the light range, especially for city night use.

Great little light. Cheap battery that came with it did not last very long and would make the light flicker on/off. Replaced with good quality battery and no problem whatsoever. It does not work as a head light (too weak) but as a marker light for the cars is perfect. Nice strobing action.

Picked this up at my local store...first ride with it it did just fine on the flashing mode for probably an hour. Then it got really dark and I switched it to just a normal beam...after 30 minutes and going over some bumps...flicker flicker, flash flash anddddd its out. Leaving me in complete darkness with several words being shouted at it.

Big let down, totally unpredictable. Oh and when I finally made it back to my car and took the light off the front? Perfectly fine, beam completely on. No thanks, I returned it.

This light is a great light for the price. It's small and light enough I can slip it in a backpack. The beam pattern is very tightly focused, and provides great visibility from very long distances. The led lights use very little power, and provide excellent battery life.

I would not recommend this light for trail use, the beam is too focused and not bright enough. This light is better suited for city riding. The mounting bracket would be great if I had multiple bikes to use it with, I would have liked an option to secure the bracket more permanently.

Overall, the light is worth every penny I paid for it, I am very pleased.

The beam is decent. It isn't exactly a floodlight, but it provides me with decent visibility, and makes me VERY visible to oncoming traffic, etc.

The mount has worked out well for me. I have the light mounted on the handlebar, and it hasn't fallen off yet, surviving lots of bumps and jolts.

I have only owned this light for a month, so I cannot comment on battery life or long-term reliability.

i love this light. i ride my bikes all over the place, and this light has proven to be a good buy. i've been using it in mostly flash mode for about 3 or 4 months and haven't changed the battery yet. also, it has been very reliable and hasn't given me any problems at all like my previous light did. you can quickly remove the light from the mount, or take both the light and mount off. i love the mount most of all. the flip tab makes it super easy to take on and off if you want to put it on another bike, and it also has a fine adjustmant slide to make it slightly tighter or looser to fit any handlebar diameter.

I have bought at least half a dozen led lights trying to find one provides a good light. This is the best one that I have found so far. I was going to buy another one for added light and redundancy, but now I am learning that Planet has two even better models. How canny of them. Now I will be buying one or both of those. But, hey, it's a thumbs up, good little light. But no, I would recommend the better brighter super spot to a friend.
