The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Vasque Breeze Hiking Boots - Kids':
My son likes these boots. They are comfortable and waterproof. Can't comment on durability, but so far so good.

Comments about Vasque Breeze Hiking Boots - Kids':
First thing that struck me about these boots was what a great price they are. Straight out of the box and my 7 year old daughter has managed a couple of 8 mile + hikes on moderate terrain without any blisters or hotspots, she also loves the boots because they look like dads! To early to say how they will wear, but I'm betting she will grow out of them before they show any signs. Only comment would be they seem quiet heavy, but this is only an observation on my part - not a complaint from my daughter!

This is a great shoe for the price. My son goes through shoes like crazy and these are still in one piece. We camp and hike every weekend and these shoes haven't given him one blister.
The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is that the laces were WAY too short (to triple knot) and I had to go back to the store and buy some laces so my son could wear them.

I bought these for my son when he became a boy scout. We have used these boots in soaking wet NW rainforest conditions and in cold temperatures and he has never complained about them. We are going to buy the next size up in this next time I go by the store.

Comments about Vasque Breeze Hiking Boots - Kids':
Having a small foot causes some problems when it comes to buying a good boot. Although these are a children's size, they are available in women's sizes too and I highly recommend them. Felt great in the store and had no break in period later. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone needing a great boot for steep hiking. Also grateful REI carries a good variety to choose from. I bought them for use at our property in the Okanogan forest but fully intend to continue wearing them here on our property too!

I bought a pair of these boots for my son last week to give him a chance to break them in before we start our summer hiking season in earnest. Today, we took them out for a test drive.
We did a four hour hike in Starved Rock State Park in Illinois, which contains rugged, wet sandstone canyons, muddy trails, sandy trails, and long staircases.
My son and I scrambled all over slippery rocks all of which were wet and some of which were icy. The boots had a great grip, and supported his ankles very well.
We also forded some icy streams that were almost to the tops of his boots, and there was no leakage.
Finally, despite having worn these boots once before -- at the store when we were buying them -- my son did not complain at all about discomfort, blisters, fit, or stiffness. In fact, he only complained when it was time to leave, as there were 12 other canyons to explore.
We'll see how these boots hold up in the long term, but I am so very pleased with them so far. Shawnee National Forest, here we come!

I got these boots about two years ago to go on a canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota. They worked amazingly well. I did not have to break them in at all, they already fit my foot perfectly. While other peoples hiking boots gave them blisters, mine did not. I have now gone on two more canoe trips and they continue to work perfectly. Even when carrying a canoe for a long portage my feet never hurt or got tired. They also work just as well when they are soaking wet. The liners are easy to take out and put back in, which makes cleaning them quite easy. I also have worn these hiking boots hiking in Yosemite National Park, and while other people's shoes would slip when trying to climb up steep rock faces, mine never did. These are the best hiking boots ever and would recommend them to everyone whose feet can fit into kids sizes.

Comments about Vasque Breeze Hiking Boots - Kids':
I purchased these boots for daily use at an arboretum where one expects moisture from dew to rainstorms. Being advertised as waterproof,I bought the Vasque Breeze boots as a replacement for leather work boots. The boots are supportive and comfortable, but the short laces make tying them difficult and the knots usually slip unless double knotted. The outsoles seem to be wearing well after six months of daily wear. If I hadn't bought these with the expectation of being waterproof, I would rate them higher.

Ordered these for my daughter for the third time. This is the only pair of hiking shoes she has ever worn (first pair when she was 5, now she's 8). She outgrows them...has yet to wear them out. We hike 10-15 miles every weekend no matter the weather through some pretty tough and sloppy terrain. These get the job done. She's never complained about her feet.

Comments about Vasque Breeze Hiking Boots - Kids':
These are the most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn. They have no arch support and by the end of just a three hour hike the balls of my feet were killing me. Will go back to Merrells asap!!!
