Comments about Ahnu Benicia Shoes - Women's:
My only complaint about these is that they rubbed my Achilles the first three or four times I wore them. (I had to wear Band-Aids to prevent blisters.) Now that they're broken in though, I love them.
These look great with jeans, shorts and capris and, with the exception of the problem described above, are as comfy as slippers! I have them in Tapestry, and it's a really nice shade of teal. The photo is an accurate representation of the color.

These little maryjanes work well for walking around town, afternoons at the playground and cute enough with skirts and dresses. Added bonus: roomy!

Comments about Ahnu Benicia Shoes - Women's:
I bought this shoe on sale at REI last year and I LOVE IT! I wear them to and from Yoga and Pilates and around town running errands. I must say that I have gotten several comments about how cute they are, where did I get them etc. They are great in the cooler weather as an alternative to flip flops and sandals. They do run about a half size too small I feel like, although I never did get around to returning them, and wear them all the time. If I were to purchase another pair, I would go up a half size. Great shoe, and not much else out there quite as cute for the function.

Comments about Ahnu Benicia Shoes - Women's:
I bought these shoes because I wanted something cute enough to wear out to dinner, but comfy enough to wear to a concert. They are good all around shoes. The "mushroom" color is neutral and matches a lot. My only complaint is that these shoes are hard to break in. They rubbed my heels badly the first several wears - make sure you have band-aids on hand! Now that I've broken them in, they are pretty comfy.

super comfortable, no problems with the heal like other reviewers. i am on my feet all day and the first day I wore them for 8 hours without a problem! I would recommend ordering a half size larger, though.

Really super cute and comfortable. Great for walking. Cute with jeans.
They rub on the back of the foot for the first few wears but are super after they are broken in. I can't wait to wear them in Eurpoe.

I walk to work and then I am on my feet all day- these shoes are perfect because they are cute enough to wear at work and cushioned enough to be comfortable throughout the day.

I love these shoes. They were a complete impulse buy and one of the best impulse buys I have ever made. The shoes are very, very comfortable. So far I've just worn them during the warmer weather months with no socks. I'm not much of a sock person and I'm not sure I would wear them in the winter as it might be a little chilly. Still, definitely one of my favorite pairs of shoes, I need to get some other colors.

Comments about Ahnu Benicia Shoes - Women's:
Overall the style is good and arch support is good, but the shoe insert that comes with the shoe has an odd lump in the heel area that makes you feel like you're stepping on a stone or lump. I fixed it by putting in a new insert but don't think I should have had to do that to make it feel comfortable. Also the strap slides open easily and I seem to constantly be adjusting the strap. Other than that, it's a very comfortable and easy-to-wear shoe.

Comments about Ahnu Benicia Shoes - Women's:
I have been looking for all-purpose shoes to take on an 11-day trip to Switzerland/Italy. I compared these in-store to the J-41 Aquarius for about 20 minutes before being nudged into buying these. Day 1: so comfortable. Day 2: blisters on the sides and bottoms of my toes. Waited a day, then tried again and they were perfect. Next day, the blisters came back. After 4 days of wear I first noticed the strap coming loose. This has gotten worse over time to the point where I need to stop and tighten them every few minutes on a walk around my neighborhood. I like the fact that the insole is removable (and quite substantial) but I took the left one all the way out to try other insoles and haven't been able to make it sit right since- there is a gap in the instep that causes rubbing on the bottom of the toes on that foot.
I have small, wide feet and high arches and the fit is great overall. The blisters won't seem to go away, though, and I don't want to wear socks with these. "Footie" socks don't work with the style as they tend to ride up higher on my small foot and show outside of the shoe. Regardless, I don't want to have to keep stopping to tighten these every few steps.
I've since picked up the J-41 and am testing it around the house in the final week before I leave town. It's not as comfortable or cute but I don't have blisters yet (using footie socks) and they seem secure.
