      Metolius makes great stuff, and these slings are no exception. Well constructed. The thicker nylon is nice for safety-neurotic climbers who prefer more durable materials, and the sling works great as an over-the-shoulder multi-use piece of gear (e.g., anchoring, indirect belays, carrying additional gear). For the price, one or two are worth having on any outdoor route. I use them primarily for extending the reach of anchors for top-roping (to prevent sharp edges from cutting into the rope), as well as for clipping in on an indirect belay.
