    It's a great jacket overall (warm, nice feel and soft, fuzzy pockets) but the fit feels wrong. I tried this jacket last year and it was too short overall. This year's version is longer but now the arms are really long and the shoulders are narrow, at least on me. I usually fit in a small or medium, but the small fit perfectly in the body (with just enough space for a midweight fleece) and was tight in the shoulders, while the medium pretty much left me swimming around inside.

      I love this Jacket. I put off buying this jacket last year, and I'm glad that I did. This one fits even better. The jacket fits great and isn't overly poofy for a down jacket. This year REI brought the back of the jacket down further to keep the backside covered up (plummers butt in the snow and cold is not a good thing). They have also added the inside zipped pocket with a pass through for head phone wires or whatever. It also layers well.
      The only suggestion I could make to make this jacket better is maybe a stow away, zip on or button on hood.
      The bottom line is, you can't buy a better jacket for the money, and it feels so good you won't want to take it off.

        The jacket fits great and looks great.
        This jacket has kept me warm in some extrame cold weather. Great flexablity, I have zipped the jacket into REI shell.

        this is a really comfortable down jacket. it's not too poofy and it'll still keeps me very warm. i can wear this jacket comfortably under my REI ultralight jacket for extra water-proof protection. it has a nice inner chest pocket that has an opening for your headphone wire to pass through if that's your thing. the outer waist pockets are very warm with a very soft peachy lining. also this jacket slips on easily over any layers you may be wearing...no bunching up of your under shirt and yet the sleeves don't feel cold when you stick your arms in them. it compresses very nicely and would fit in a stuff sack about 6"x9".

        This is the best down jacket for the price. It has a great fit that is just big enough to layer a fleece, but it's not too big without it. I wore this jacket during a light snow and didn't have any problem with it getting wet. The down compresses well and lofts back up very well. Great product value! This jacket is perfect for someone who hates being cold but doesn't want to put out a lot for a nice down jacket!
