I am 5'11" and 225 lbs. This hammock, while having nothing to compare it to, is uncomfortable to sleep in, for me. I like it, and I hate to be the first one with a negative review... but this si just how it is for me.I've taken it out 3 times now. I am convinced you have to buy the Slap Strap accessory, it is very time consuming trying to find an even relatively comfortable position while tying and untying the knots. So basically, you can count on another [$] purchase to make it as easy as they say.Good luck trying to stay on a sleeping pad in this hammock... or getting in and out of your bag, or keeping your bag the way you want it. Everything shifts and twists with the slightest movement.I don;t know, I'm a bigger guy, maybe the double nest was more suited for me. There is not nearly enough material to lay 'diagonal' on the single nest. I am a side and stomach sleeper, and for this hammock to keep me in one position... I haven't had a good night's sleep in it yet.So there you have it. I like it for a hammock, for a siesta in the trees,but for a guy my size at least, who likes a little freedom while he sleeps, it just isn't for me. Thinking about trying a different brand or bigger hammock. This one's going on [...]...

I've practically given up on my regular tent. I take my ENO hammock whenever I can think of a reason too. Sometimes I seem to force a reason. It's extremely comfortable and really lightweight. Rather than using a sleeping pad between my back and the hammock material as other users here write, I sleep using a sleeping bag as a cocoon. I have a full-zipping rectangular sleeping bag which I open both ends of and thread the hammock through the sleeping 'noodle' - Then I zip the foot area mostly closed. Since the sleeping bag is 'floating' around the hammock and me, nothing is getting compressed, and it actually turns out to be quite warm, if not warmer than sleeping on a pad on the ground. I use the ENO hammock in conjunction with the rain shelter, and the slapstraps (which are actually really handy and quick) - and it all weighs less and takes up less space than my usual tent. I haven't used the 'doublenest' but the 'singlenest' is great for solo camping. - it also replaces the need for any kind of travel seat, and is a hundred times more comfortable than any of them anyway.

This is a good hammock, but not the best I have used. I bought this hammock only because the Byer Moskito Traveler was out of stock at my local REI and I didn't have time to wait for the shipping. This does have a hefty weight rating at 400 lbs, but most campers are not that heavy, so the 240 lbs rating on the Byer is sufficient.Sleeping in the ENO is challenging. laying end to end tends to fold my body in half, and laying diagonal, while providing more comfort, results in my feet falling off the edge periodically. The extra cost for the mosquito net is insulting when you have an integral net on the Byer for much less dollars. If you like fancy colors or need the 400 lbs rating then you may like this ENO hammock. If you want a great hammock for a great price, I would go with the Byer Moskito Traveler for sure.

Great alternative to a tent. Super comfortable. The straps make setup quick. You can sleep in places you would never use a tent. Get the fly and net, they work perfectly. A pad is needed for cold nights. I have a doublenest (6-2, 220). It also makes a good chair.

i bought the rainfly and the bug net that go over it. i took it camping with me up in minnasota and it keep me fairly warm and the bug net saved my life and the rain fly worked perfect. but the most important thing is that i slep better it the hammock then in my own bed. it is very easy set up and take down with the slap straps. i also just got back from a trip in mississippi and it worked perfect in that weather also.

this hammock will go with me everywhere! it's so comfortable and light that i have no reason no to bring it. the only other comment that i might have would be for any ounce counters out there. upgrade to aluminum climbing carabiners because the steel ones this comes with are kinda heavy for their purpose and don't allow for as many other uses.

I just got back from Maui where I slept in my Singlenest by the beach for a week. By far the best sleep I have ever had in the outdoors-PERIOD! It only took a couple of minutes to set up and I just used my climbing webbing so the ENO strapping might even be easier. Takes up no space at all! My only regret is not buying one of their flys for the trip. It poured one night and I ended up in the tent for a miserable night's sleep. Plus, the whole campground was under water but if I had a fly I could have watched everything float away from my nest.
Also, the hammock allows you to be right there with nature(a bonus I never thought about until the whales woke me up in the middle of the night). I thought the price was a little steep but after my trip, it is worth every penny! I was even sleeping on my side by the end of my trip. I would recommend placing something under your knees when sleeping on your back. I didn't like using a pad under me when I slept and don't want to pack a pad around anyways. I think a bag liner is in order for cold nights.
I can't wait to use it in the mountains!

I love this thing..I bought it as impulse buy after thinking the price was a lil steep and have used it the past year worrying of damaging it but i checked today and all the stitching looks great and I've had two people in it several times(~~350lbs)(singlenest). definately worth the money. My next buy is the bug net. The rain fly seems too expensive but the specialty bug net is a must for summer sleeping. Sleeping in it with a cocoon bag takes some practice but will work great after the first night. While laying diagonal, i can lay flat in any direction. A MUST BUY BRAND for travel hammocks.
