    This cap is thin enough to fit nicely under my helmet without requiring any strap or pad adjustments, yet it does a fine job of blocking most of the wind. Its cut and stretchiness allow it to do a reasonably good job of staying down over my earlobes. My hat size is Large, and this fits me pretty well; however I doubt that this "one size fits all" cap would stay down over the earlobes on a larger head. Offering it in two sizes would be a good idea. I've only had it for a year, so I can't comment on the durability of the stretchiness, which is key to good ear coverage.

        I originally purchased one of these hats a year or so ago. I loved it and rode with it in all but the hottest weather. Unfortunately, I misplaced it and returned [...] to purchase another. It wasn't until I went for the first ride that I realized [...]has ruined the hat. The material is entirely different and the cut has changed. The elastic is stronger, too strong, the material is now thinner, and the hat slowly moves up my head as I ride. Ten minutes into the commute the hat has already started moving up my ears. The older version never moved.The overall feel is definitely cheaper. It's a shame. I'm not sure if I'm more upset about losing an essential piece of gear. The Novara brand continues to disappoint me.

        This cap does the job nicely on a wide range of temperatures. It breaths well so it can be worn into higher temps. Material is comfortable and the cap is well made. It is cut a touch high for me and has a tendency to creep up the ears.

          This is definitely a product that you should try out in person first. A previous reviewer said they had difficulty with this cap riding up. I have had no such problem, my ears stay covered regardless of the ride. I tried out several brands of cycling skull caps by wearing them around the store for a while before settling on this one. I have an odd-shaped head (long front to back), so finding a hat that fits can be an adventure. This skull cap was the best fitting and more comfortable than all of the more expensive brands. It also seems a bit softer & warmer because it is a bit more "fleecey" than the others I tried. I have only had it for about a month, so I don't know about durability yet. If it holds up well it would be worthy of a fifth star.
