Comments about Arc'Teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Men's:
I found this jacket on closeout last year following the winter sale.[$]. For $[$]I think this is the best jacket I have ever owned. Period. It is warmer than just a shell would imply, breathes very well, and I love the side zip. It has all the features a jacket like this should. It is totally wind proof. I was in 50+ MPH winds in 20 degree temps on Heavenly and was very warm in this jacket. Mobility in this jacket is great - it has articulated shoulders and elbows. I never knew about such things before buying this. I don't know if I would pay the full sticker price, but if you can use a [$]% off, or find it on clearance, i definitely recommend it.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Men's:
Aesthetics on this jacket are undoubtedly amazing. The chafe guard on the chin works well, although it took some getting used to unzipping. Unzipping at first is unusual. This jacket is a shell that is built to be worn with insulation. If you plan on using this jacket without insulation then it will feel baggy. It protects very well against the elements, everything from making snow in high winds at -20 to mountaineering the northern cascades in the summer. Ventilation is phenomenal, it seems that the pit zips extend from the bottom of my rib cage to my elbow, with arm extended up. I have used it extensively for nearly three years and it still looks good as new.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Men's:
Amazing jacket. If you are able and willing to drop this kind of money on a jacket, this is it. Better fit then the stingray i felt, and the sidewinder zipper not only looks hard core but eliminates chin chafing entirely without the need for bulky chin zipper guards. I like the look of the hood, so i always leave it out, but the option to zip it into the collar is also nice if you are wearing a helmet and it isn't raining. plnty of room in the hood for a helmet though if it is. Alvalanch [*]reflector is also a nice extra. Though a lightweight shell, and not good on its own in the cold, it has plenty of room for several layers while not being so bulky one felt required to wear them with the jacket. snow skirt fit perfect as well. A perfect jacket!

Comments about Arc'Teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Men's:
I use this jacket all year round in AK. Keeps me dry and the heat in during the winter, Works great in the rain during the summer. Seamed zippers are awesome. Huge pit zips really help with the ventilation. Curved front zipper is a nice addition. Enough room in the winter for many layers or a down jacket, not too baggy in the summer.

Great looking, fitting jacket. Have yet to use it, but ProShell is really light compared to XCR.
