This soft shell offers a good balance between water resistance, breathability and warmth—ideal for hiking, climbing and mountaineering.

Four-way stretch soft-shell fabric is bonded to a polyester fleece lining for weather resistance, abrasion resistance and easy mobility
Full-length draft flap backs the front zipper to keep cold air out; collar and chin guard are lined with soft, moisture-wicking DriClime® fabric
Adjustable cuffs and drawcord hem seal in body heat
Features two zippered handwarmer pockets, a zippered sleeve pocket and an interior zippered security pocket

My Marmot Gravity is the perfect outside or inside layer for ski instructing. I work with kids so there is a lot of bending, lifting and general need for flexibility. The softshell keeps me warm and dry, whether there is wet snow falling (or heaven forbid, rain!) or when I am sweating from the exertion of skiing hard! Because I love this jacket so much and don't technically own it (ski school owns it), I plan to purchase my own in the very near future! Definitely consider this great jacket for its functionality and stylish design!

I bought this for my wife because I wanted her to have a warm, breathable jacket for backpacking, snowshoeing, etc. She is very picky and I couldn't find anything that was both functional, and stylish. She loves it, and it's perfect for outdoor activities in cool, damp weather.

I was looking for a jacket along these lines and was pleased when I found that Marmot had one. I love the brand and they tend to be durable. I've only had the jacket a few weeks but I have high expectations that it will work out great. So far I love it.

Bought this jacket to have when I am washing my other great Marmot jacket. Super warm, even in the damp conditions of Ohio... Would definately recommend to anyone. Great quality with marmot, always!

I'm loving my Marmot Gravity. It's great for the Bay Area winters and has kept me toasty in the wet and cold (casual wear for weather in 40s and 50s). I tried taking it hiking in weather that was in the low 50s, and it proved to be a bit too warm. It's probably more suited for active pursuits in colder weather, as one ski instructor noted in her review. The pocket on the sleeve has been really handy for easy access to my phone.

I'm normally a solid size small in The Northface and REI apparel, but had to get the medium for this jacket. Also, the sleeves are about an inch too long for me, but it's a small complaint for such a great jacket.
