Comments about The North Face Tempest Down Jacket - Women's:
I have a light weight winter jacket but when the temperature drops it just wasn't warm enough. I find that comfort can make all of the difference when playing outside. I hike, ski, sled, kayak (yes even when I have to crack the ice to drop in) and I did a lot of looking around and comparison shopping before purchasing The North Face Tempest Down jacket.
This jacket is very warm and allows me to get out there and enjoy the winter weather. It's a little bulky but that is to be expected for a really warm jacket and it's not as puffy as most. It's waterproof, wind proof and snugly warm. If you want a warm, waterproof, windproof winter jacket this is one of the best out there. - I love that the fake fur trim is easily zipped off.

Comments about The North Face Tempest Down Jacket - Women's:
I hestitated when I read some of the reviews online, but am I ever glad I went ahead and ordered. I don't find the arms too tight at all, and I have broad shoulders too - the jacket is absolutely consistent with North Face sizing. It's a more feminine and stylish fit, but doesn't compromise quality or comfort. A perfect jacket!

Comments about The North Face Tempest Down Jacket - Women's:
After much debate with myself, hubby ended up buying this for me. Altho it's not the coldest time in Seattle yet, this jacket has already proved to be a very nice investment for the colder months to come. I wore it in the rain, and it keeps me completely dry. Wind doesn't sneak up the sleeves cuz the Rib-knit cuffs block it all. There are small zippers instead of valcro at the end of the sleeves so my wrists didn't get stuck to the chest. It also has Recco Reflector, which should be helpful when I go snowboarding in case there's avalanche. Over all, this is a very thoughtfully designed jacket.

Comments about The North Face Tempest Down Jacket - Women's:
It's my first year living in a snowy environment so naturally I wanted to buy a jacket that would keep me warm. So far its been working magnificently. It keeps the wind from penetrating my core and the hood keeps whatever heat I've insulated from escaping. Plus, its the puffy jacket that doesn't make you look like the Michelin Man.

Moving to a very cold area I needed something that I could wear everyday and would not be constantly shivering from the cold. This coat is perfect. It is the warmest (and most expensive) coat I own. Well worth the cost.
