Comments about Volkl Gotama Skis - '07/'08:
I have last years version of this ski and If this ski is anything like it then you are in for a great ride. My type of skiing is all mountain. I don't spend much time on the groomers. This ski is the best ski I have ever skied. So if you like skiing off the beaten path this ski is for you.

Comments about Volkl Gotama Skis - '07/'08:
I bought these skis for the heavy snow in the Pac Northwest and they are amazing in it. They are not just amazing in powder - these skis rip on groomers, bang through crud, do well in moguls - but they are AMAZING in powder. I have skied them in the Pacific Northwest and in the light snow of Utah and Colorado and they kill in both! Buy them and you will not be disappointed.

don't be fooled into thinking the gotama is a dedicated powder ski, it is the perfect quiver-of-one if you prefer to ski in soft snow. it performs well on firm snow despite its girth, but you obviously don't buy this ski for groomers. kills pow. you'll feel like a legend.
in a word, it rips.
