I love this sweater! It was a gift, but I'm not sure I would have paid the pricey [$]. If you don't like the feel of scratchy wool, then you will have to wear a long sleeve shirt under it. It does have a little lining by the zipper and a few other areas, but not all over. I wish it did because I love the material they used for the lining. The color of the sweater is beautiful and it is very stylish. If they fixed the lining, I would definitely by it in other colors. It does fit true to size, a little snug like I've found whenever I try on Mountain Hardwear. I bought a small and it may only feel snug because I don't like the scratchiness of the sweater, so I wear a long sleeve shirt under it.

This top is a little more expensive than I usually spring for, but in the summers I do fieldwork in northern Alaska, so I really need good quality and decided to give it a try. Good idea. This summer I wore this cardigan nearly every day, in all kinds of weather, everywhere I went -- hiking up and down mountains, long days out in the field, evenings standing around the fire -- until finally I would have felt lost without it.
The full zip means it's relatively easy to get on and off, and allows for a lot of temperature regulation. It will fit (a little snugly) over a base layer and act as a light jacket, and also fits easily under heavier layers. It does pill a little bit (we're talking after HEAVY use) but it still looks nice, and it never seems to get smelly even under field conditions. The raglan sleeves are GREAT for tall, broad-shouldered women like me, and also I really like that it's got the warmth of a fleece without really looking like one. Back in regular life, I wear it all the time in place of a sweatshirt, because it's just as warm as one and much better looking. As soon as I can afford it, I'm getting another one before they quit making them! I wish I could get one in every color.
My only real complaint is that the wrists are very slim: if I'm wearing a bulky watch it can be difficult to get the sleeve over it (and back off again), especially where the stitching makes it less stretchy. This also makes it harder to layer the Sarafin cardigan over another long-sleeved shirt, although I do it all the time anyway. Also I kind of wish it had a real pocket or two besides the odd little one on the sleeve! But those are small complaints compared to how much I like it overall.

Received this sweater for Christmas and loved it so much that I went out and purchased a second sweater in another color. It is so versatile, warm and light weight. It layers well under everything. Sleeves are rather long but I just turn them up for a contrasting cuff.

Very comfortable, fitted sweater with a nice zipper. It fits very well, not bulky or baggy. It has a very soft lining which is an added bonus. It's a bit pricey, but it's a really nice sweater/cardigan.

I wasn't sure about spending so much on a sweater but i'm so glad I did. This is a wonderful sweater that looks and feels great. It came out of the washer (hand wash cycle) with no wrinkles and dried quickly. Fits true to size with longer sleeves. I can't wait to get another color!
