I bought this for a long car trip, but could not imagine having it in the backcountry or on a hiking trip. The meat tasted OK, except it was overly sweet. I realize that this is a taste preference, so I gave it an average rating. It was very wet and sticky. I had a hard time getting it off my hands. I would not buy this again.

I use this product mostly in my mouth and tummy regions. The delicious flavor and moistness of the beef are the great things about it. The stickiness and limited quantities are definitely not the greatest. It is rather pricey, so it's only an occasional treat, but then again, all jerky is expensive.

They use brisket for their jerky, so there is more fat than other brands. Sometimes you will get a bite that is not chewable. I like it for the flavor- Sweet and Spicy is my fav! Just keep it hidden from the vultures at work...

I was testing this for an upcoming archaeological field trip to Belize and Teriyaki Jerky was so delicious, I will be requesting it in my care package :) If you are into tender,moist jerky-- not rock hard beef jerky-- you will love this product. The vacuum sealed pkg keeps the jerky juicy (teriyaki was marinated in ORGANIC worcestershire sauce and pineapple juice!) It does leave your fingers sticky, but it truly is a treat if you are going on some serious long-term trekking.Frankly I get tired of eating the same boring dried turkey jerky, and this was a refreshing alternative. Have wipes handy as this product is yummy and finger-licking good.

If you like tough, dry jerky, then stay away from this brand. If you like tender, flavorful, easy to chew jerky then this is great stuff! I love this Jerky but you do need a wet wipe when you're done with your snack as it can be sticky. I will definitely buy it again, but not too often as it is expensive.

I bought the "original" flavor. Just gross. It's far too soft/mushy and they used WAY too much soy sauce. It's like eating soy sauce flavored jello.

Guilty pleasure of mine. I will only eat jerky when backpacking or camping and this jerky (honey) is my favorite.

Very flavorful. Not dry and tough like other jerky which have made me feel like a cow chewing cud.

This jerky is NOT good. I took it on a long 8 day Canadian canoe trip and couldn't get myself or any of the other 3 hungry guys to eat it, even when we were very hungry. It's too soft and mushy and not a very good taste. Even so, this Natural is better than their hot version (totally awful). So I carried this no-good stuff on portage after portage for no good reason other than to take it back to the store to get my money back. Back to Oberto!!!We couldn't get enough of that.
