Comments about Seattle Sports Sportsmen's Paddle Leash:
This is a low-cost, lightweight paddle leash for fishermen and recreational paddlers. It's very compact, and is easy to attach to and remove from the kayak and paddle. The generously sized kayak clip leaves plenty of room to attach carabiners or various necessities that you need easy access to such as water bottles and electronics bags.
This lightweight leash has several downsides, though:
* The loop-through strap slides along the paddle shaft rather easily, and can get moderately annoying during aggressive paddling and tacking when you need to move your hands to different positions on the paddle.
* The bungee material is not very strong, and can break during hard wipeouts or while pulling too vigorously on the leash to retrieve your kayak.
While not a good choice for wave riders, this leash is a great low-price option for more recreationally-oriented kayaking.

Comments about Seattle Sports Sportsmen's Paddle Leash:
Its the simple things that work the best. Easy to use design makes for great use on the water. The only problem, more like an annoyance, one might have, is with the sling not staying in the middle of the shaft when paddling.

Comments about Seattle Sports Sportsmen's Paddle Leash:
I have tried others but this one works fine and length is not an issue and actually stays out of the way from my experience with it over the past few years. Price makes it a good value. If you purchase it knowing what you want and need then it's perfect. It may not be the first choice for competitive kayakers but then they should know what they need and buy accordingly.

Comments about Seattle Sports Sportsmen's Paddle Leash:
Well when I purchased this leash I was buying a new kayak and did not have a lot of extra money. When I first used this leash it did not really bother me. As I started to kayak more this thing became very annoying. The strap that connects to the paddle slides everywhere I am constantly moving it back and forth out of my way. The leash is very springy and way too long. I am constantly trying to find a place to put it. The hook is the best thing on this leash. If you have the extra money buy the coiled type with a Velcro paddle strap it's worth it.
