I have used these backpacking and now in my plastic luggage attached to my motorcycle.

I stuff them with my clothes and store them in my pack or in my luggage.

They did not keep my clothes dry. Does the water penetrate the material if it is compressed against the pack? Does the water penetrate if there is a small pool of water in the plastic case?

In neither use are they exposed to high wind since they are contained inside something else.

I will probably switch to the pvc dry sacks and see how they perform in the same conditions.

I have two kayaks that both have round hatches only (no oval hatches). I find this 13l size dry bag to be the optimal size for packing my kayak with camping gear. Any larger and it won't fit through my hatches. I have purchased two of these, along with other smaller sizes which are handy. They are good quality and work well to keep my gear dry. I will be purchasing more of this size.

At first I wasn't too sure about the material. But, after 5 years of heavy use, they are still as good as new. Easy to stuff into small spaces. I love this line of dry bags.
