Polarized Crystal Carbonate® lenses have the strongest hard coating available to protect against scratching
P.C.C.® lenses pass the rigorous ANSI Z80.3 tests for optical clarity and impact resistance while blocking 100% of harmful UVA and UVB light
XP refers to Xtra Protection—lenses are approximately 20% larger for increased coverage and protection
Polarized Silver Reflex lenses work well for all light conditions, especially extremely bright sunlight because the Reflex coating blocks more light
Polarized brown lenses reduce glare, increase contrast and improve depth perception, especially in moderate light conditions

These glasses have not held up. The frames break at the hinge and the leses are some of the more easily scratched of all the sun glasses I have owned.

I was on my hands and knees looking under my truck when the glasses fell off my face and dropped one foot onto the garage floor. The lenses sustained significant scratch damage impairing vision out of one eye. First time ever dropped after 9 months ownership. These are the most scratch prone sunglass lenses I have ever owned. I have 25 years of consistant sunglass wearing.

I am a professional driver, and wear my Hardtop XP's 12+ hours a day in the summertime. Most comfortable glasses ever, with the best visual clarity I've ever experienced. I have an older pair with the gray lenses, and they seem bulletproof. I've ran into shelves, doors, dropped them off my truck, and they just don't scratch. THE NEW REFLEX LENSES ARE DIFFERENT!! I got a pair of the platinum/silver because they looked sweet. The reflex lenses are better for extremely bright situations, but more fragile than the original lenses. Stick with the originals if you want more durability.
Also, the frames have been updated; mine loosened up a bit with wear, but they seemed more comfortable. I've heard the older ones can crack at the hinges, but they have redesigned this part I''ve read in other reviews. No questions asked warranty if they do break (even if you sit on them).

Simply the best sunglasses all around you can buy.

Service and delivery comments:

The warranty is the best, period. No questions asked, send them in if they break and they replace them.

I echo the other comments about scratch resistance -- or I should say lack thereof. But take advantage of Native's lifetime warranty. Return your scratched lenses and pay their warranty fee -- which is half what new lenses cost.

I love the fit and comfort of these sunglasses. I have worn a lot of other expensive brand of sunglasses from Revo to Oakley to Rayban, etc and these are the most comfortable of the lot. They are great for camping, hiking or just cruising around. However, the lenses scratch way to easy. They got scratched from sitting in their case (which also is not the best quality - the inside pockets for spare lenses do not perform their function at all). I would love to see the lenses improved expecially since I am on my third set. After the inital cost and then paying extra for replacement lenses the price is becoming to steep.
I would recommend them for anyone looking for a comfortable pair of sunglasses, but if you are looking for durability and ruggedness, you might want to look at alternatives.

Owned for six months. I'm on my third set of lenses even after storing them in the case the moment they come off my face. ANYTHING will scratch these lenses. Glasses are incredibly comfortable, so it's a shame the lenses are of such poor quality.
