Comments about REI Chefware Polycarbonate Utensil Set:
I use these all the time at lunch. I don't like disposable plastic ware (too flimsy). The older eggshell permaware branded stuff was a lot less flimsy than the newer chefware branded stuff. Still better than flimsy plastic! notably the knife is not as thick at the blade (harder to cut chicken), and the teaspoon is much more flimsy. If you never used the permaware stuff, you'll never notice the difference though!
I like the way I can use it at work or travel like silverware at home - the large soup spoon is great for soup, veggies, oatmeal in the morning.
lightweight, easy to clean. I use them everyday with my lunch I take to work, and on trips, camping, etc. For less clutter when hiking / backpacking - I would recommend the "light my fire" utensils - just because for me "less is more" - you carry 1 thing instead of 3.

Unless you mind eating with plastic utensils, this is a useful product. I not only use this product for backpacking but also at work or anywhere away from home where I need eating utensils. Very light weight, durable, and easy to pack.

I used these all summer. It was a very strong set, even the butter knife exceded expectations. Great product, great deal!

Comments about REI Chefware Polycarbonate Utensil Set:
I recently purchased a non-stick REI cookset, thus I needed a new set of utensils to replace my foldable metal ones. These were much lighter, performed the same, were easier to clean, and I don't need to worry about corrosion/sticky hinges! I am very excited to have these.
The one con I have is that it would be nice if they had a small sleeve to keep better organized.

Comments about REI Chefware Polycarbonate Utensil Set:
Light, strong, cheap enough that if you lose it you won't mind. I've used these for years. If you're totally into light weight, just buy the big spoon.
I use these for picnics and taking lunch to work as well as on mountaineering trips.

Comments about REI Chefware Polycarbonate Utensil Set:
I've used these utensils for years. I'm getting more because I've lost or loaned them and need to get more. I use them when backpacking because I know I can rely on the durability, where replacement is not an option. They wont scratch the teflon coating on cook pots, but don't let it sit too long in the pot or it will deform. Usually not a problem unless you leave the darn thing in the pan and don't tend to it for a while.

Comments about REI Chefware Polycarbonate Utensil Set:
A must have for any camper. Lightweight, durable, doesn't scratch pot set. Spoons are big enough for stirring too. The knife exceeds expectations - not just an ordinary butter knife.

Comments about REI Chefware Polycarbonate Utensil Set:
No need for metal. These are easy to clean, lightweight and don't get too hot to handle. The small spoon I leave at home, but the big one is the perfect length to get to the bottom of those freeze dried food bags, so you don't get food all over your hand. No better way to eat in the woods.
