The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
This is not a good all day harness. If you anticipate any hanging belays or long days on a route, don't use this harness. My gal and guy friends have the same pressure point issues with the hip straps as I do.
I would consider this a good gym only harness.
My leg loops are completely frayed look like they've gone through a shredder and I've only had this harness for a year. I owned my last Petzl harness for 4 years. Very dissappointed.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
This harness is made of a mesh material, which helps keep you cool on long climbing sessions. The gear loops are great because they don't stick out. It's nice to have complete loops, that don't have breaks in the like some Black Diamond harnesses. Because the legs aren't highly padded, this is not a terribly comfortable harness to hang in for extended periods of time, but its' minimalist design keeps it from getting in the way during difficult climbs. The buckle system is great, though [...] the leg loops loosen occasionally. The buckles are small and don't get in the way. Overall a great harness--well worth the price.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
I love this harness. It's comfortable, and durable. I use this harness for indoor climbs mainly, and it works great for that. I have a feeling it'll work great for outdoor climbs as well. I love the color, and the price wasn't too outrageous. It fits me great! I recommend it!

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
Harnesses are not comfortable, especially on hanging belays. However, the Petzl Adjama is the best I have worn. Petzl opted to keep the padding to a minimal, making the harness comfortable by its precise cut and design, a very distinct difference from the Focus. The major difference between this harness and any other company's is the Petzl lock system on the waist buckle. Unlike other harnesses, you do NOT have to double back. This is a bit scary at first because you habitually have the desire to double back the waist, but it slowly becomes the nicest feature because as long as you cinch up the belt, you are safe when climbing. Also, the gear loops are well constructed and don't look/feel they are going to break of with any force like some harnesses do. Quality harness, you get what you pay for.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
This is a great step up from many beginning harnesses for a variety of reasons. It is extremely light, and I really like the gear loops that have rigidity but still flex at the point where they join the waist, which are especially noticeable in the back when wearing a pack and running around the crag. The double back system is great, and makes for very simple and quick adjustment and putting on/taking off. It is well ventilated, and provides a reasonable amount of padding and support. I would not, however, want to hang in it all day, but it excels at sport climbing, specifically when you think you need to shave 6 or 4 ounces on a redpoint attempt. Buy this harness, but expect an odd combination of sizing from waist to legs. I have a fairly slim/average build (31" waist), but had sizing issues because the small gave me a perfect waist fit with zero extra room in the legs, and now the medium provides a good amount of leg webbing with excess waist belt, which would be good when wearing layers. I would expect some durability issues because of a little less beef in the general construction, for instance on the belay loop and webbing everywhere. Also beware of the leg loops loosening as you walk around, so check them periodically. All around a great harness, if you can justify the extra cash from the average rig, but this isn't your average rig.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
Something about the leg loop design on this harness tangles badly every time it comes out of my pack. Fortunately, it's easy to untagle.
The only other minor nit I have is that the gear loops don't really stand out enough after some use. They get a little floppy and have to be reshaped.
In every other respect, I love this harness. It's comfortable, very adjustable, and I could wear it all day.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
I am an avid climber. I do a ton of sport climbing and a bit of indoor sport climbing. This harness is so quick and easy to put on and is very comfortable to wear for long climbs. The biggest thing I hear about other peoples harness is they complain that theirs ride up on their crotch way too much. Everybody that has tried my harness has said this is the best they have put on solely for that fact it does not ride up.

Comments about Petzl Adjama Harness:
I'm still a bit of a newbie at climbing but after my first climbing experience this year I rediscovered my love for climbing and also my annoyance in rentals. I was looking for something cheap with padding, like the BD Momentum, but I grabbed up this harness at a local shop because it was the only one left in my size. It turned out to be a great choice.
Overall, the harness is quick, light, and very breathable, which is nice because I tend to get sweaty. No chafing when climbing shirtless either. The fit is snug but not binding, and as of yet I haven't had any "uncomfortable landings" when coming off the wall. The loops are very floppy and since I have only used it for top roping in the gym I don't know how useful it will be for carrying a lot of gear. I use the one loop in the middle of the back for attaching my chalk bag but that's about it. I am not sure how durable it is as I have only used it about a dozen times, but feels like it will last me a while. For indoor climbing it is ideal, something that won't weigh you down or get in your way.
If it is not worn out by next spring I would like to take it on an outdoor climb to Shenandoah. I want to take along a spare/backup, been wanting to try out a BD for comparison, but right now there is nothing wrong with the Adjama so I will probably put the money towards something more useful for the time being; like a rope.
