The durable and affordable Black Diamond® HotWire quickdraw set comes with a super-slim 10mm Dynex runner for even lighter weight.

  • Straight-gate Positron and wire-gate HotWire carabiners are linked by a lithe 10mm Dynex dogbone runner creating a strong and light quickdraw
  • Pound for pound, Dynex is stronger than steel and has greater abrasion resistance and durability than standard nylon runners
  • Dynex is also more flexible and lighter weight than nylon runners with superb impact-, freeze- and water-resistance that climbers can appreciate
  • Rubber Straightjacket™ insert in runner loop keeps wire-gate carabiner in proper orientation for easier, more efficient clipping
  • Carabiners are made of anodized 7075-T6 aluminum for lightweight strength; Positron features keylock gate system for a snag-free performance
  • Carabiner geometry fits snugly in your hand and is angled at the nose to clip easily into protection placements
  • Upper, straight-gate clips into protection, while the lower, wire-gate carabiner makes rope clipping smooth and fast

      At first, I preferred my draws that had the bent gates, but now I LOVE these. They are much lighter, and the snag free nose on the positron really helps you out exactly when you need it.

      Great quickdraw with a straight nose on the straight gate carabiner. This makes clipping into and cleaning from the bolt very smooth. Clipping the rope into the wiregate biner is smooth as well. I would prefer a longer 18-20 cm dogbone but the 12 cm is sufficient for most sport climbs.

      the T gate design on the top beiner is nice no accidental snags on despirate clips. i prefer the wire gate i find that its easier to press the rope against and prevents the draw from moving around because of the 2 points of contact. ive yet to try something like the wildcountry heliums which are bent and wire gate i would imagine they would be the best however very expensive

        The thin Spectra can be slightly un-nerving when first using these draws, but it holds superbly. I also like having the normal gate on the bolt end so that I never accidentally grab the wrong side and scratch up both biners.
