Comments about Pacific Outdoor Equipment ECO Thermo 6 Sleeping Pad - Regular:
I purchased two of these sleeping pads for me and my girlfriend for backpacking/camping. After borrowing a friend's Thermorest, and spending a chilly night with my back and butt pretty much touching the ground, I set out to find a lightweight, packable, and WARM sleeping pad. I'm glad I went with the ECO Thermo 6.
Thanks to the bamboo fibers, the ECO Thermo 6 is very light (22 oz). It is 5 oz. lighter than the BA Insulated Air Core Mummy and only 8 oz. heavier than the pricier Neo-Air. The bamboo also helps this pad achieve an R-value of 6.8! WAY more insulation than any other pad of comparable weight and pack size. Not to mention the satisfaction of using gear which utilizes renewable materials.
Inflation was fairly easy. I really don't mind having to blow up my pads. If I don't have the lungs to fill a pad, I probably shouldn't be backpacking.
I disagree with the previous reviewer's low rating due to small width. I quick comparison to other sleeping pads shows that most pads share the exact same dimensions.
During a recent backpacking trip, with nighttime temps in the 30's, I slept comfortably. I'm confident that the pad will keep me warm in lower temps.

Comments about Pacific Outdoor Equipment ECO Thermo 6 Sleeping Pad - Regular:
This is a great item when you're saving ounces in the pack and have a heavier frame. I'm a big guy and never had a problem with my hips hurting from a long sleep. My only problem with the mat is that it's a bit of a balancing act to stay on the camping mat. If you tend not to move a whole lot during the night this is the perfect mat for you, if you turn over a bunch you might want something wider.
