Comments about SRAM X.9 Rear Derailleur:
Except for materials, this is the same derailleur as the SRAM X.0 For the difference in price, I can live with the marginal weight difference. Flawless shifting through the entire range. The cage design sucks up a lot of chain and keeps good tension at all times, even under washboard conditions. Works well under pressure shifts and seems immune to problems from dirt.

Comments about SRAM X.9 Rear Derailleur:
Not once has this derailleur ever let me down. Shifts great under stress and is quite durable. You certainly won't be disappointed. This is my first experience with SRAM and it has truly been delightful! Not to mention, SRAM is made in the USA!

Comments about SRAM X.9 Rear Derailleur:
The low and high adjust screws are attached to the derailleur body through a plastic insert, an inexcusably cheap way to attach such a critical part to an expensive derailleur. I've now witnessed three independent failures of these screw inserts (two on XO, one on X9) on my bike and partners bikes. The low adjust screw popped out of my buddy's X0, and with nothing to stop the derailleur movement, he shifted the derailleur into the wheel spokes, snapping off the derailleur hanger.
