Comments about Lifeline Waterproof Survival Kit:

Ok guys, I have one thing to say. If you cant open these, you are probably an adult. They are simple to get open with small hands(which isn't true of a lot of survival kits). I listed this as a pro, because for kids who want to build a survival kit, this is a great starting point. Wrap fishing line or other cordage around it, add stuff, take stuff out, personalize this kit, YouTube has bazillions of videos on these containers. Thats my 2 cents...

Comments about Lifeline Waterproof Survival Kit:

haven't used it, just bought in-store to keep in car, but seeing the reviews saying how difficult it was to open, I opened both this one and the similar first aid one and it was immediate and no problem at all. perhaps this is a new batch with the problem fixed. considering making my own kit with the empty cases available but these are a little more compact and the carabiner included is sturdier than those on the empty waterproof containers.

Comments about Lifeline Waterproof Survival Kit:

I was given this as a gift and I've bought a few and given them as gifts and now feel bad that I have.

I had this in my car and recently needed to open it to get a bandage out. For the life of me I could not open this container. I handed it to a large burly man in the area and he couldn't open it either. I threw it on the ground, nothing. I slammed it against rocks, nothing. I chucked this thing as hard as I could into walls, the ground, anything I could find and this stupid container would not open.

No, there weren't any adhesives or seals around it. It should have opened.

I'm glad it wasn't an actual emergency, just my kid wanting a bandaid.

I won't be buying any of these anymore and I emailed everyone I've gifted these to and told them to empty the contents into a zip loc bag. One person responded and had a similar experience to not being able to open the container. I hope everyone else can open theirs as I'm hopeful the contents are useful.

    I threw mine away.
