Comments about Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130T Tandem Sit-on-Top Kayak:
I bought this kayak two years ago and I am still enjoying it. I have used it out of the harbor on the ocean with my gradeschool daughters and they find it enjoyable. I have also used it for a beach launch with some difficulty, but still made it. (Exciting in a 5 foot shorebreak when you go vertical before wiping out to oncoming surf! The waterproof hatches do work well.)
It is best on lakes, I use it up in the Sierras as it can go where a lot of motorized boats cannot. It is stable, and with two experienced paddlers on lat water, it can move at a fair rate of speed.
The only negative is getting it off the roof of my SUV with only one person due to the size of the boat.
I would buy this again if I needed another tandem recreational kayak.

Comments about Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130T Tandem Sit-on-Top Kayak:
We got this for our kids and parents to use, it's great. We take 2 adults & kid in middle. Very stable, easy entry/exit, tracks decently, fairly easy to move once you get going. Holds up well to oyster shell scrapes. Comfortable seats and 2 sealed compartments for water bottles and keys. It's HEAVY, you'll need a cart to move it and strong arms/back to car top it.

Comments about Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130T Tandem Sit-on-Top Kayak:
I have used this kayak with my kids at Santa Cruz Island. It is more comfortable than other tandems I have used. My wife and I paddeled it around Dana Point harbor and she loved it. It is stable and the fold up seat backs are a great idea.

Vikki and I take it out through Channel Island Harbor, Ventura Harbor, Santa Barbara Harbor and Big Bear Lake. Great in swells and moves well. Lots of fun.
