Ocean Kayak® Frenzy is 100% fun--short enough to maneuver but with a built-in keel for tracking, it performs well on surf, rivers and flat water.

  • Take this popular sit-on-top kayak out in flat water, moderate ocean swells, or slow-moving rivers for nature-watching, surfing, fishing and fun
  • Perfect for kids and the kid at heart, the short length and open cockpit design is stable and user-friendly, even for beginners
  • Comfortable molded-in seat well and foot wells
  • Hull design allows Frenzy kayaks to nest together (up to 3 boats high) for easy storage in garage, the backyard, or at the cabin

    We have a few different Ocean Kayak models for our family and friends. We have the Frenzy because it is the best boat for people who want to have fun on the water, but are afraid of falling into the water. The Frenzy is the most stable boat on the market and over the past 8 years of use has helped people enjoy the sport of paddling without the fear of capsizing.

      Playing in the ocean surf is a blast! As you walk along the beach, you'll see Frenzy's everywhere-they dominate the south NJ surf. They are extremely stable and easy to use. Make sure to get a backrest because it gives your paddle stroke more power which moves you forward. It easily fits my 5'2" 125# female frame but it is also a good fit for you bigger guys. Want a big smile? Go play in the surf with a Frenzy.

        This is my 2nd Kayak and by far this one is the best! This one is more stable, has a wider seat and I love the color. For more back support I bought the Compfort Pro-back rest which is well worth it. Now I enjoy longer hours in the sun and on the water.

          My wife and I bought one last summer for use on the Jersey shore. What a great investment! (We also white water kayak using Daggers so we are not new to kayaking.) The Frenzy provides great stability and easy handling in swells up to five feet but you need to outfit it with the optional knee straps to give you control. It might be ok in well formed waves above that but we didnt have any when we were at the beach...maybe this year! Make sure you get a backrest. The comfort backrest at $40 works well for us. Going to buy another Frenzy so we no longer have to share...we both want to be out in the surf. Wouldnt recommend it for anyone over 200 lbs since it I doubt it would have sufficient bouyancy. Also, since the seat is molded plastic, make sure you sit in one before you purchase .... you want to be able to fit comfortably in the seat...right? As for car tranport, we made a trip to the shore to ride post hurricane waves...it fit within our Expedition. Usually we just strap it on top tho because we need to have room for kids...tho maybe we could strap them to the roof. For transport at the beach Im building my own cart based on some kayak carts I found on youtube. Im sure it will be cheaper and more sturdy than mass produced items that seem overpriced.

            What a fun boat. It does drag a little on the bottom in lower waters (where my other kayak floats on by) but definately a great time and easy to maneuver through the rapids. Fun Fun Fun!!!

              My wife and I both have frenzies...We love them. A great sit on top for the money. They track good for such short kayaks. Light enough to pull along with a scuba tank hookah setup. Plenty fun.
