The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
Wow... where to begin...
I have run with every type of bottle and been "fine" with them all, minus the fact that I grow incredibly sick of carrying them by the end of most runs. That was until I used this bottle. I never really thought I'd say this about a random accessory, but this bottle is AMAZING. Whether I am out for a day hike or on a 50 miler trail race, I have NEVER once gotten annoyed (or even noticed) this bottle. It wicks away almost everything, is SUPER comfortable, and hold just enough where I never feel like I am carrying arm weights.
Obviously, I highly recommend this bottle.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
Very well designed. Comfortable, allows you to hold onto the bottle without having to consciously grip it. Surprisingly large bottle capacity considering how slim it feels. Pocket holds up to 3 gel packs. Running with a bottle might be slightly distracting if you are a big arm swinger. Water sloshes around more when it is half-full. If these are a big concern, consider the waist belt instead. Overall, I think it works well and would purchase again.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
Not sure what some people think, no matter what handheld you use, you will get 'sloshing', so to blame that on the bottle is just nuts. I have used several handhelds and this one is by far the better of them all. The strap holds the bottle to your hand with out you actually holding it with your hand - which make long distances more relaxing on your arms. The pouch holds enough gels for a few hours of running as long as you can find a refill location for the water. As for any bottle filled with liquid and you running, you're going to get moisture - it might be called sweat. Great for trail running - if you can't balance your self with a handheld bottle in one hand you shouldn't be on the trail. The bottle does what it should with no real drawbacks. Just my 2 cents.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
I was totally against handheld water bottles until I bought the Amphipod. I really can't stand how conventional bottles fit in my hand, they are very uncomfortable. But with Amphipod's flat body, your hand just cups the bottle and is not a burden to cary. This is great for trail runs, and road running. I have not had a problem with balance on rough terrain. I can't really complain much about the pouch. This is a minnimalist bottle. I wish the pouch was a bit bigger and had a key holder sewn in. I can hold 2 big jel packs in the pouch. The mouth of the bottles is nice and wide, great for adding ice or mixing powder drinks. Overall its the best on the market

Love this system! Has a nice pocket to store a very small cell, your key or a gel. I like the shape of the bottle better than the Ultimate Direction system because of the bottle shape. Only gripe is that sometimes you get a bottle that the nipple is hard to open so be sure to check before you buy.

Do not use this product for trail running! You will need both hands for balance. Ok for road running, but the sloshing drives me nuts!

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
Of ALL the handheld bottles i've used/owned, the Amphipod is my favorite. The flat shape minimizes water movement, and lets you move your arms closer to your body. Only problem or issue that I would fix is that when you take off the bottle or switch it to your other hand, sometimes the bottom loop slides off and you have to place it back on. It's a minor issue but could be fixed adding a small groove or guide so the loop will stay put. Other than that it has just enough space to fit keys, a couple of gels and maybe even a small cell phone.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
I never thought I would be a "carry your own hydration" guy but after reaching about 16 miles on my marathon training finding water fountains along my route was getting old. The bottle is the perfect size and I barely even notice that I have it one. The inside of the strap (against the outer part of your hand) is fleece like and also doesn't seem to hold "stink". I think because of the curved design there isn't much sloshing and I didn't notice it on the run that much. That was my biggest reason for not getting one as I had run with a camelbak before and hated the slushing and feeling of being moved around by the water. The pouch along the hand easily holds a couple of gel packs and you can probably squeeze in a third. Bottle top dispenses water easily just turning it upside down and doesn't leak. My only complain is the material surrounding the bottle seems kind of thin and I worry about in the long run if it would break over time?

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
I researched belts, packs, and handhelds for a long time before making this purchase. Between all the rei reviews and videos on youtube I finally came to a conclusion.
I knew buying this water bottle that after I drank half the liquid it would be really annoying to hear all the slushing around but that would be the case for all the other options too. That aside, I really like it.
I like the functionality of this bottle better than a hydration belt or pack. It's light to carry, even when full. The pocket is really nice. It fits a couple gels and your keys which makes it perfect for longer runs without having to plan your run around water fountains.
Just the only downfall is when the bottle sweats it makes your hand all clammy. I wish there was a barrier between the water bottle and your hand to alleviate this problem. With that aside I really didn't mind having this bottle on my 8 mile run today. It served its purpose well kept me hydrated throughout my run.
This water bottle is great not only for its price point but for what it provides.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket:
I run several times a week and just recently switched from carrying a regular 12 oz water bottle to the Amphipod.
Even though the capacity is more than I'm use, I don't really notice it because the shape of the bottle fits my hand better. I really like being able to carry a little extra water for longer runs on hot days. The pouch was another selling point for me to help get the drivers license, CC, and keys out of my pockets.
I would echo the comments of others that an improvement would be if they added a groove to the bottle of the bottle to help prevent the strap from coming off. Haven't had this happen while running, but its a bit annoying while carrying it around, etc when it slips off.
Overall a great product, I would buy it again.
