Comments about REI Downtime +10 Sleeping Bag - Long - Special Buy:
I had a polar pod, got cold in it several times, and REI exchanged it for the Downtime. This is an ideal bag for a 6'3" 215 lb person. Roomy, and I use a Western Mountaineering down sleeve inside the bag for really cold temps.

Comments about REI Downtime +10 Sleeping Bag - Long - Special Buy:
Pretty warm, light and othewise good. The only place where you can feel cold is zipper. It would be great if zipper is placed into pocket. Suites for 3 seasons, not for harsh conditions.
I bought it with good discount at REI-Outlet so value was good.
Service and delivery comments:
Just great.

Comments about REI Downtime +10 Sleeping Bag - Long - Special Buy:
I've never had a $400 bag, so I can't compare this bag with the top end stuff, but for the money, I don't see how you can go wrong here. I've not been out in sub-zero conditions yet, but I got awful close a couple of weeks ago, and this bag performed well. The zipper can be a little sticky, but for the money... I can make the necessary adjustments. My suggestion is that you hurry and order this bag before REI runs out of it. I've been out all winter long and have no serious complaint to make. When dividends come in I will order a fleece liner with my dividend, and then I'll not have the slightest anxiety about facing any weather conditions with this bag. I do most of my hiking in the Ouachita and Ozark mountains of Arkansas and believe me when I tell you that it may be the deep south, but it can still get plenty chilly! For [$], you can't go wrong!

I use this bag during hunting season in Montana Oct, Nov and Dec. Temperatures can get down to -35f at night. I am completely happy. Awesome bag for the money.
