Comments about REI Polar Pod +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

This bag has been really good on the 4 trips I used it on so far. It is warm and comfortable. I don't know how it will fare if it gets wet, but suspect it should do well. The only downside is that it's a bit heavy but for the price, the bag is well worth the money.

Comments about REI Polar Pod +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

I must admit to having WAY to many sleeping bags. I have 4 boys in the Boy Scouts and we camp a lot. We have 4 of the +20 Polar Pod bags. There are also several down bags, a few top of the line (expensive) winter synthetic bags and a pile of sleepover rectangular bags. Time and time again the boys pack the Polar Pod bags. I would guess that we spend 12 nights or more a year in them. The Eastern North Carolina winters are never too much for the rating and the boys will often unzip them to cool off. The fall and spring will find them sleeping on top of them with a sheet. I sleep cold and find the temperature rating a touch optimistic. However, it is thousands of times better than the big box rectangular bag. The lining is very pleasant against the skin and cleans easily (experience here). We take them on almost every car camping trip and most of the short backpacking trips. Yes, it is on the heavy side, but price, weight and warmth are on different scales. We have soaked them in the rain, left them on the beach and generally abused them. They take all the abuse and return for more. You can spend more. You can sport a big price tag. But I don't think that you can get more bag for the money than the Polar Pod.

Comments about REI Polar Pod +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

This is a great sleeping bag for the value minded buyer. It is super warm and it fits in my backpacks sleeping bag compartment. You really can't go wrong especially since I picked it up for [$] on the outlet site. It is a little heavy but I'll carry the extra pound or 2 for the money I saved.

Comments about REI Polar Pod +20 Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:

Great bag for the price. Very comfy, warm and not too heavy. I am very pleased with it. Have used it a few times and have never been cold. Not a top of the line bag, but you simply cannot beat it for the price.
