Comments about CamelBak UnBottle - 100 oz.:
The unbottle is awesome!! The volume is great and the padding certainly keeps water cool for a long time. What separates this from other reservoirs is obviously the insulation and lock. While filling with a filter, the insulation helps keep the reservoir upright and rigid allowing for easier filling. Also a strap on the back of the bottle is very handy as a handle. This feature is very big when you're hiking to a water source from camp with a few reservoirs at once. The lock is a big plus. I have experienced a few wet messes as a direct result of not having the lock. The only downside is that the lock valve popped off on me once when it got stuck between my shoulder strap and shoulder. With the valve off, the water flows freely from the end. The only way to stop the flow at that point is to crimp the line which leaves you with a pretty inefficient water source. It loses a star because of this flaw. I would like to see some sort of secondary shutoff added to the line to insure usability if the locking valve is lost.
Also, my wife says the water tastes funny, but I don't think so.

This thing holds so much water! It clips on to almost anything and is very secure. Long hose makes it easy to hook this thing onto the the back of your pack and still get the mouthpiece. The only downside is figuring out what you do with your free time while your buddies are down at the spring filling up their heavy little plastic bottles...

I have owned this water bottle for 3 or 4 yrs now, and I still love it. I have seriously abused this camelbak, and it just keeps going. One of the best uses of this particular bottle is in bitter cold. The extra layer of insulation helps to keep your water from freezing, and the clip locations allow you to strap it under your pack and close to your back if necessary.

Comments about CamelBak UnBottle - 100 oz.:
I tested the Unbottle against my PolarPak gel-cooled water bag and another basic water bag on my sunny patio table on a blistering June day, and the Unbottle won hands down. After nearly 2 hours, the Unbottle was the only one with a few slivers of ice inside, and the water was a chilly 50 F compared to 70 F in the other two, and after 3 hours, when the water in the other two bags had reached nearly 100 F, the Unbottle was still only about 70 F. On a recent all-day kayaking trip, the water in my Unbottle was still refreshingly cool (relatively speaking) after 8 hours in the sun and salt water.
The large opening is easy to fill, and the bite valve is easy to drink from. It fits nicely under the bungees on the front deck of my kayak, and should slip easily into a backpack as well. Comes with a quick-release handle you can use for carrying, lashing into place, or stabilizing it while filling. I see a lot of complaints about bad taste, but I didn't notice any, and I am PICKY about my water. Perhaps the complainers are not keeping their bags well cleaned and aired between uses?

Comments about CamelBak UnBottle - 100 oz.:
I've only used it on 3 trips so far but I love it. Keeps my water cold, more convenient than the old water bottles and saves time (no need to stop for a drink). My only issue is that the hose leaks if you leave the valve open but I can live with that (no leaks when it's closed).
I haven't had it long but as long it keeps performing this way, I highly recommend it.

Comments about CamelBak UnBottle - 100 oz.:
I've used this on several occasions and it has served me well with no leaks at all. The 3 liter capacity is about as high as it gets. The sleeve keeps water cool on hot day hikes and keeps it from freezing on snow trips. Best thing about it is that Camelbak guarantees it for life! My only complaint it is not taste-free. You will be tasting the flavor of the bladder for a long time.

Comments about CamelBak UnBottle - 100 oz.:
Water tastes reasonably good even after being left in for several days. There is some taste but not as bad as most others I have tried. Keeps water cool.
My biggest complaint is the small yellow on/off valve can easily be pulled out from the hose end and be difficult to find when dropped in the boonies. I almost lost mine a few times.

Comments about CamelBak UnBottle - 100 oz.:
I got this for a big multi-day scout camp that was going to be in 90+ heat. Slipped it in a day pack I already had and it worked out great. The large mouth opening allowed me to easily add ice to the bag along with water. The 3 liters lasted me from early morning to about dinner with out refills. The ice lasted that long also. My two sons even took a couple long drinks in that time. Worked better then a new bladder only when adding to my day pack. The pack/shell that it comes in provided insulation so no condensation on my stuff. Also rigid enough to be in the day pack without problems. No bad taste problems like I have read on some reviews. I love it and have already recommend it to others.

My wife bought me the Unbottle for my birthday and at first I was skeptical about how much I would use it but it has turned out to be a mainstay of my outdoor equipment. Great construction and versatility.
