The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

They are such a great fit that after five minutes you don't know you have them on. They are really a wonderful pair of glasses. My ONLY gripe is I don't seem like they are dark enough in spite of the high UV protection rating. I have no reservations recommending these to a friend or family member.

I've had mine for about 5 years now. Love them. Unfortunately, less then a month after I got them, I was wearing them at a beach and some drunk threw a rock and it hit me squarely on the eye. If it wasn't for my Maui Jim, I probably would have been really hurt. The lenses took the brunt of the hit with a minor nick. I never sent in to get fixed, my bad, but I still wear them all the time.
Mostly casual use, driving and boating. Best pair of sunglasses I've ever owned. So light weight you'll never notice them on. They are a lot sturdier than they look. I love the hingeless frames.

Purchased this pair from a retailer back in the summer of 2006 and was very pleased with the sunglasses. Used the sunglasses primarily for driving and one year later the lenses cracked where the nosepiece attaches. Maui Jim was very good about replacing the lenses,[...] One year later, happened again, still under warenty and were replaced again. One month later, broke again, some spot, no longer under the two year warrenty. Maui Jim offered me a discount on a different pair, but I won't trust another with this same design.

Comments about Maui Jim Kapalua Sunglasses - Polarized:
My husband and I both bought a pair of Maui Jim's last summer & we both LOVE them. They are great on a plane under headsets -no pressure point headaches like you get with traditional frames. I also love that they don't bounce or shift when running or bending over. We are careful to store them in the hard case and careful about cleaning the lenses, but my husband's did get the stress fracture where the nosepiece grips the lens that I saw in another review. Perhaps it is a design flaw. We are sending them back to get repaired and we'll see how that goes.

I have had mine for about 5 years; no issues with the lens breaking on my pair and I have worn them jogging/golfing/fishing many times. They are great driving glasses as well since they are so light weight... no dents on your nose after long drives. Only con about them is that you can't hang them on your shirt or stuff them in your pocket easily due to the hingeless frames, just have to make sure to bring your case with you or get a strap if you will need to take them off for a period of time. All in all, very happy with these.

Comments about Maui Jim Kapalua Sunglasses - Polarized:
I absolutely love these glasses, but have to give them the lowest rating for a design flaw. Within a year the lenses crack at either the screws on the nose bridge or the edge screws that attach the ear piece. If you search general reviews of these glasses you will find the same criticism and it has also been mentioned within some of the REI reviews. I am on my second pair. I sent my first pair back after about a year (2 year warranty) with cracks at the nose bridge screws. Maui Jim were great and reapaired them. They cracked again in the same spot within a week. I contacted Maui Jim again, customer service were great, they offered to replace them with a brand new pair. This pair cracked at the other screws that hold the ear pieces. These would be my favorite shades that i have ever owned, super comfortable, so light that you forget that you are wearing them, but this flaw is just too much for the price paid.

The best pair of sunglasses I've ever owned, it's worth the price.
