The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
These glasses can be great if you know what to expect, but since they are advertised as part of the Maui Jim sport line I had to give them a mediocre rating. I suppose a lot of these problems could be a matter of poor fit, but from my experience with other rimless glasses I think these are just inherit design issues.
They offer fairly good sun protection although (like most MJs) they don't quite go low enough on my face. When looking towards the sun there can be significant glare appearing as vertical stripes down the lens. Not quite as bad as my Smtihs but nowhere near the quality of Kaenons. They also let in a ton of wind, which swirls around the inside of the lenses and is extremely uncomfortable even when biking (and I don't bike particularly fast). The inside of the lenses also get dirty and smudged strangely easily and are difficult to clean with the included microfiber pouch. Never had this problem with other lenses.
That said, the lenses (when clean) are very clear for polycarbonates and the colors looks great (a little "cool" as opposed to the warmer colors of kaenons, just a matter of preference). They are also incredibly comfortable which was almost enough to convince me to keep these glasses despite their other issues. For driving or low velocity activities with little wind these would be perfect.

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
These are the lightest pair of sunglasses I have ever owned. At first the frame feels a bit flimsy, but the lenses offer great protection and are comfortable enough to wear all day. The design is good for people with slightly wider faces (like myself). In terms of quality, the semi-rigid case has proven more fragile than the sunglasses themselves (the pull tab on the zipper snapped off after the first week). Maui Jim's customer service sent out a replacement case immediately. No regrets about this purchase.
Service and delivery comments:
Customer service at Maui Jim and at REI were both fantastic. I opted to go through the manufacturer although REI offered to swap the case out, as well.

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
I was looking for some stylish, lightweight sunglasses to wear while running outdoors. After trying on about 30 other pair of sunglasses I settled on these because they were very light, provide great coverage, and the lenses were polarized. Unfortunately, these sunglasses are very delicate. They were crooked almost immediately after I bought them. They smudge very easily (when my eyelashes brush against them) and it's difficult to keep the lenses clean. I'll be exchanging these for something more durable.

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
These glasses are lightweight and stylish. However if you want to wear them outside these are not the glasses for you. Got them for a gift for my husband and they are already severely scratched. He only wears Maui Jim's but will need to look for a more durable pair of glasses. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
I loved these sunglasses for the almost 2 years that they lasted. I had previously worn mostly Oakleys, but decided to try something else after Oakley's customer service went from the best in the business to blah. These Maul Jim's are extremely light and very clear. They are perfect for cycling and I would often forget that I had them on.
They feel flimsy since the frame flexes a little around the lens, but I didn't have any issues until one day the frame/lens junction broke. There is no way to repair this since the break is on the actual lens, and the frame isn't the issue. Every Oakley pair that I've had break has broken on the frame and was thus repairable. Oh well, I enjoyed them while they lasted. I hope you have better luck.

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I have had a pair for several years and have dropped them too many times to count - their clarity is still amazing. They have nics and scratches on them because I've dropped them on concrete, but it does not affect the vision. They are incredibily light weight and comfortable, and the vision is great even in rainy / overcast conditions. I have worn in the saltwater with no corosion at all. [...]

I've worn these skiing, although I did smash them while they were stored in their case when I wiped out but they perform well in snow situations. I took them on a 5 day white water rafting trip. They withstood constant drenching including me just diving into the river several times a day. Lightweight makes them easy to wear all day long as well.

I've been a big fan of Maui Jim sunglasses for a long time. I recently became an even bigger fan after purchasing this pair Ho'okipa Sunglasses. It is part of their "sports" line and it's perfect for all the activities I do outdoors.

Comments about Maui Jim Ho'okipa Polarized Sunglasses:
I love these sunglasses so much I have 3 pairs - one for each car, so I never forget them. They are very light yet hold well to my head and do not slip around.
The frames and lenses are durable. I lost one pair in a river (dropped them and they were swept away). A couple of weeks later my nephew found them quite a ways downstream. They were not scratched.
