Comments about Julbo Nomad Photochromic Glacier Sunglasses:
I've used these for numerous climbs. I plan on taking them to Alaska next month, so if they don't work out well in a more harsh environment, I'll post again.
These are comfortable sunglasses. It's nice with the photochromatic lenses that you don't have to change out the lenses or remove them at any point. I'll wear these really early in the morning and they cover me until the sun goes down. The change in darkness is subtle, but you can really tell the difference at altitude when those UV rays are really bearing down on you.
The lenses are also really good quality. No distortion.
They don't vent that well and will fog up. They clean easily though, so that's not a huge concern.

Comments about Julbo Nomad Photochromic Glacier Sunglasses:
Over the past six months, I have taken these shades trail running, road running, hiking, and snow climbing. The photochromatic lenses changed quickly enough which allowed from nice change of protection while running into the sun and then away from it. From dawn to dusk climbing while in the open snow fields the lenses preformed perfectly. As dark clouds would come in, the lends would lighten and clarity would remain. I have a big head, and the curved frames with rubber inner ends secured the glasses on my face since on snow travel you are continually looking down. The curves ends also allowed the glasses to stay securely on the top of my head when I needed to take them off. The removable side shields provided protection against side exposure and glare from the snow, and the ability to move the side shields slightly forward/back to allow more ventilation prevented fog. I purchased these for my snow and glacier travels and have found them to be a great running pair of glasses as well. I would like a grove at the top to funnel brow sweat down and away instead of making its way onto the top of the lens, but if that's my only complaint, I'm doing okay.

Comments about Julbo Nomad Photochromic Glacier Sunglasses:
Just used these for the firs time on a hike up Mt Baldy in CA. They did not scratch at all like some other posters stated. They reacted very well to the varying changes of light. They did fog up just a little bit, but I am a very sweaty guy and it was expected. I actually though that they would fog up more for the amount I was sweating. I just pulled them away from my face a little bit and they cleared up just fine.
The did fit a little tight, but then again I do have a big head. They are pretty comfortable and the photochromatic lense it well worth the $$$. Not too bright, not too dark.
