Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
This thing is a live saver on any international trip. Seriously when all else has failed, this thing kept a very sizable amount of "backup cash" handy and safe. On that note, I find it best to fold money in thirds lengthwise and you easily can get 3 sets of money folded in thirds inside the belt comfortably (a sizable bankroll). At times I've realized that my wallet was empty, but the belt was still loaded, and I have had to "pause" purchases and quickly run into a restroom or dark corner and fish out some folded cash (try as you might to avoid this, it will happen to you at one point). I have used my belt in 20 countries, and it is holding strong. Honestly, small enough to bring 2 along and keep in separate pants (2 backup stashes). This strategy should remedy the supposed buckle problem (see complaining reviews) although my 8 year old belt has never broken. This belt won't set off metal detectors, weighs nothing, and won't attract undue attention. GET THIS FOR YOUR TRIP and combo it with a waist/leg belt or other stash....***AVOID neck pouches as they are not hidden or slick in any way***

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
As the first review notes, this money belt is good only for stashing money. However, I don't see how anyone would expect to stash their passport or credit cards in a barely 2" wide belt. That said, I think it's great as a belt. It goes well with shorts with loops or cargo/zip-off pants. As for stashing, I prefer not to stash everything in the same spot anyhow, and so this suits me. I'd still carry a hanging neck wallet, or a waist or leg belt for documents/cards if traveling somewhere safety is an issue. But why not have a stash of cash somewhere else just in case? I didn't find it difficult to use. Yes, you have to slip it off to open it. But so must you with any other type of 'money belt.' You think no one's noticing you hiking up your shorts to get to the leg belt? Or pulling out your neck belt? You will always want to duck into a bathroom or such when traveling with something like this. I say if you wear a belt, get this one and keep a separate stash of cash.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
I have four of these belts. In the past they were offered in black, brown, blue and olive green. I was so pleased with the first black one that I purchased the other colors. I have had one buckle break, but that is the only problem I've had. I've had these for 3-4 years and they have been to Canada, Tahiti, Easter Island, China, Belize and the British Isles. They have also been across the US at least 15 times a year for the past 4 years. I carry a few travelers checks and large bills in each for emergencies and I have never had to take them off at the airport, which is a plus. I also carry a color copy of my passport as well. Also a plus is they can be used for day to day trekking or casual dinner wear, so they save space when packing.
I would recommend this belt!

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
I used this belt for a year and a half through 32 countries and loved it. I managed to get $1500 in it at one point and it still was not obvious that it was anything other than a normal belt. Never having to take it off when I went through 62 airport metal detectors was a plus too. It is perfect coupled with a few other money stashes to make sure you don't get totally robbed when traveling.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
We bought a series of these as groomsmen gifts for our destination wedding. However, when we recieved them, we decided to return them because they do not seem useful at all. The pocket for money is very skinny, such that you'd have to fold up single bills and put them in one at a time along the length of the belt. Sure, no one would think to steal the money from you, but you also have to take the belt off to get the money out and in and it is a big hassle, overall. You could not fit anything else in either. If you want to travel with a credit card or ID, you'll have to carry it in your pocket or something else anyways.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
Do not buy this online until you have this in your hands. The buckle will not stay closed and is of terrible construction. Based upon other reviews i imagine this must have changed producers or something of the like b/c it is unusable and will not last. I returned THREE belt before i gave up on it

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
Purchased this probably 8 years ago but only used it when traveling, but they changed the NEW belt material. The OLD belt material was FIRM, easy to CUT and HOT TAPER the end after cutting.
It would be SO MUCH BETTER if the belt lock was metal, not cheap plastic that breaks!
So since I needed another(plastic lock broke) I purchased again to be disappointed in the NEW construction, cheap flimsy belt webbing which is hard to cut, tapper and doesnt hold your pants up as well since its flimsy.
Wish they would go back to the old style FIRM BELT WEBBING, it was much better...

I bought one several years ago. I use it every time I fly, there is no metal for the detectors.
Sear the ragged end with fire, but have a pail of water ready!

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
Bought one years ago and it worked great. Bought another and the buckle broke after a few days of use. Thought it was a fluke and bought another later when I saw them at REI. I now have three with broken buckles, all broken in exactly the same way. Eagle Creek claims a "lifetime" warranty. Don't believe it! I put in a request for help on their web site but they never responded. Most of their stuff is good. This is worse than junk. Can't believe REI sell it.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:
As others have said, the buckle on this product is seriously flawed. It is made of cheap plastic, and I don't expect it to last. I plan on taking a buckle off one of my other belts to use with this. Still, great idea and overall design!
