I picked this up in Alaska where it was put to the test. After all it went through the zipper blew out on the way home from the airport. REI replaced it and I've had no problems with the new bag. For the price and the way REI stands behind its products, it is a good buy.

I bought this bag for long trips with lots of clothing and gear. It's large and well-made, and is fairly water resistant, though it is not what I would call waterproof. The small carrying bag is great for storage and works well as a toiletry kit as suggested on the packaging. The fabric is strong and reasonably light, though it's not as rugged as some heavier, more expensive bags. Overall it's a great value, and I expect to use it for years.

This was an excellent purchase if you need both a toiletry bag and a duffel. I used this in Europe for both purposes. I packed away the duffel in preparation of coming back home with more things than I brought to Europe (which happened). It packs away in very tight spaces. I wish it had a more comfortable shoulder strap though.
