Comments about Osprey Daylite Accessory Pack:
Nice bag, but definitely an add-on to a larger pack. I use the Osprey Aether 60 with this to add a few extra inches of storage as well as have a detachable daypack. This definitely does the job. It nests in my pack like a dream and comes off easily, but only when I want it to. I am split on the yolk-style shoulder straps. They are comfortable, but not as stable as I like my packs to feel - very very thin material - all padding.
The cons, the mouth to the large compartment does not open wide enough to get things in and out comfortably.
Overall, a solid little addition to your hiking pack or weekend trip. Small but fucntional.

Comments about Osprey Daylite Accessory Pack:
Apologies for being the wet blanket to the kind reviews on this pack.
I am currently using the Osprey Daylite as my EDC (Every Day Carry) pack. It's a nice little item but I feel several improvements are needed.
The adjustable shoulder straps that attach to the bottom of the pack are too short. Even my 18 inch torso length, the straps are already maxed out and I feel that they should be at least 50% longer.
The side cinch straps help stabilize smaller loads but get in the way of allowing the contents to be easily accessed. An improvement would be to use side release buckles for these straps.
The zipper sliders have a tendency to snag the rain flap.
I won't return this pack but I won't recommend it either unless improvements are made. I am an Osprey fan but this one is a bit of a let-down.

Comments about Osprey Daylite Accessory Pack:
Last summer I spent 3 weeks in Europe. I was looking for a small backpack that I could use to tote around with a few essentials (H2O bottle, rain jacket, camera, etc) and the inevitable purchases as I toured the piazzas and other tourist sites. The Osprey worked perfectly for these occasions. It also works as an excellent carry on for flights and weekend trips if you're not lugging more than bare necessities.

Comments about Osprey Daylite Accessory Pack:
This is a great companion daypack to your weekend pack. I use my DayLite as an addition to my weekend pack,on dayhikes and for summiting. I
purchased an Osprey Ariel 60 in 2005, but I needed a detachable day pack with more versatility than the "fannie pack" the Ariel 60 provides. The DayLite includes hydration capability as well as webbing on both sides to support water bottles. So, if you choose not to insert a water bladder, the hydration compartment is perfect for your map, gloves or even a rain jacket. The padding gives great support against
your back, making for a comfortable fit. Although the main compartment does not unzip very wide, the compartment is very deep, making for nice storage. The outside compartment is perfect for snacks and/or your headlamp. The Osprey quality is unsurpassed, and the DayLite easily attaches to any Osprey pack. Great bag and great price.
My Ariel 60 and my DayLite have made me an Osprey customer for life - I wouldn't hike without it!

Comments about Osprey Daylite Accessory Pack:
I am an instructor for a wilderness program and I bought the Daylite to augment my pack space and have something small enough for a day hike. It works beautifully when I'm at work and has enough space for the essential elements like rain gear, camera, and some food and water. At home it's a good size to fit books and writing pads for my classes. The only let downs are that the side straps are a bit of a hassle since they aren't buckled and the pockets aren't quite big enough for a water bottle if it's already stuffed. All in all I think its a good pack and suitable for a lot of different situations. I take mine pretty much anywhere.

Comments about Osprey Daylite Accessory Pack:
I bought this great little day pack mainly for recreational biking. It is also works well for my trips to the local farmers market and hardware store. The opening is somewhat narrow, so planning and careful packing is essential.
