The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Mesh Duffel - Large:
This is my second one of these bags. I literally wore the first one out. I use it to carry wet Bikram (hot) yoga clothes and mats. It allows for great air circulation preventing mildewing. I have the large, but the medium probably would have been sufficient.

Comments about REI Mesh Duffel - Large:
I bought this bag a couple of years ago as an inexpensive alternative to bags offered for SCUBA gear. It's great! Holds all my gear, drains the water, folds up small enough to stuff in to carry-on luggage with my SCUBA essentials. I've taken it multiple times on vacation, stuffing it, my SCUBA gear and clothing ALL in carry-on luggage. The bag has held up well to being overstuffed, exposed to sun, heat, salt water, rough rides, etc. Zippers function well. I've thrown it in the washing machine a few times, but usually just rinse the salt water off. I definitely recommend this bag.

Comments about REI Mesh Duffel - Large:
Got tired of carrying my whitewater gear in a drawstring bag. With the string and bag draped over my back, the bag always situated in the wrong spot or moved around precariously while rock hopping. This bag is much roomier than my old bag, plenty of room to stuff gear in and because it lays flat and is accessed by a zipper, the gear is easier to find. Might have been able to get by with the one size smaller, but this is not noticeably heavier and only $5 more.

Comments about REI Mesh Duffel - Large:
I bought this to hold the collection of gear I take the gym, which includes leather boxing gloves, head gear, etc that need to dry completely between workouts.
The pockets zip are very sturdy and zip completely closed, so I don't need to worry about losing anything.
I haven't tried it for family outings to the beach, but the material is extremely sturdy and I could see it working well in water.
I had an extra shoulder strap from another bag and it just snapped on.

This bag is great. We bought it to use at the beach and the pool. It's mesh, so wet stuff dries easily. It has two pouches - one mesh and one solid. The solid one has a key hook and is great for storing wallet or phone out of sight.
The bag stores easily by folding it inside-out into one of its pouches.
