Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

The Rogue is my first experience with a personal hydration unit. I enjoy mountain biking, and this pack is perfect for my needs. With this pack, I can conveniently carry a spare tube, patch kit, pump, Clif Bar, multi-tool, cell-phone, ID & Cash, keys, and still have some spare room. It is much less bulky than wearing a backpack. When I am riding, the entire pack feels secure, unlike a backpack which you can feel 'rattling' around on your back through bumpy or rough sections.

Oh yeah, it also holds quite a bit of water. The insulation between the bladder is sufficient that it doesn't get warm, nor does the condensation make my back wet or cold.

Being new to personal hydration packs, it is a little awkward 'sucking' the water instead of getting a free flow of water a la a water bottle or a cup.

My only other complaint is that sipping tube just dangles there. I have used mine out on trails a couple of times, and I haven't noticed it while riding, but I am slightly paranoid it will catch something.

Overall, this pack suits my needs as a mountain biker perfectly. Easy to use, can carry everything I want, and I feel confident with it on my back. Not to big, not too small...just right.

Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

This pack is awesome for shorter mountain biking trips or hikes. Its got two relatively large zip pockets that carries all you need to carry,(cell, id/cash, keys etc.) with space to spare. The pack keeps the water cool with a good water flow.

Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

The CamelBak Rouge Hydration Pack meets my needs perfectly. I don't like to carry a lot of extra stuff with me, so the two small compartments are just right -- enough for my cell phone, ID, multi-tool, and a couple of snacks (with a little room to spare). The pack fits comfortably and has a large enough opening that removing the reservoir is a snap. I replaced the drink tube with an insulated one that I had from my previous pack, and that keeps the water in the tube from heating up when it's hot outside. Adding ice to the reservoir also provides a bit of cooling for the back. Honestly, I hardly notice that I'm wearing it at all, which is exactly what I want in a hydration system. The 70 oz reservoir is a nice size, too, minimizing the number of refilling stops required on the trails/road. I also like that you can replace parts of the system as they wear out. The bite valves tend to leak after a lot of use, and all I have to do is run to REI, buy a replacement, and pop it on. Too easy!

Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

I got this after returning my second defective Fox hydration pack. For the price, I should have bought this one first.
I love being able to fill it without removing the bladder. The valve just works, no fuss. The storage pockets are roomy and I can easily pack tools, food, a spare tube, bike pump, a long sleeve jersey and a cycling vest for all day bike rides.
The fit is good and I hardly know it's there when I'm riding.
        Two minor complaints:
        >There is no dedicated spot for my bike mini-pump like some other (more expensive) Camelbak models have.
        >The buckles connecting the sternum strap to the shoulder straps are weird, and frequently came off the first few times I wore it, since it has "broken in" it has not happened again. If you look at them when they come off, it almost looks like the buckles are designed backwards from how they should be. But again, it has stopped happening since I've worn it a bit.

Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

Loved this pack for training for my endurance races, either mountain bike or road bike. It was very comfortable and kept me from the hassle of dealing with drinking from bottles which tend to get warm quickly in the Texas heat. Has about the perfect amount of storage for my needs.

I wanted a light weight hydration pack for mtn biking and this one is perfect. 2 hours of biking and i still have water leftover. No plastic taste. Theres plenty of room in the pack for what you'll need on a casual afternoon ride, including spare tube. I barely know I have it on. Its extremely adjustable. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

I use this for 6-8 mile day hikes (and a run). The wide mouth makes it easy to load full with ice and water, which will stay cold for at least 2-3hrs (sometimes more). It is small, but the pockets allow enough room to store many items (snack, ID, multitool, etc...). Moreover, it is light weight and durable (has been abused by small people). Lastly, the bite tube has good flow and comes with a shut off device to keep it from leaking.

Great for the avid or recreational user. I would recommend this to anyone who desires a good quality product. It is worth the price.

The shoulder strap rides up and rubs against my neck. Not a problem when I wear a crew neck, but when I don't, I cannot wear my pack. It also does require some tightening as you go.

Comments about CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack - 70 oz.:

This hydration system is good for day hiking/cycling. If you plan on strapping it to a backpack for extended trips, then make sure you have a good way of securing it to the pack as it is not made for this type of use. It will move and make your pack hard to handle as you're walking down a mountain filled with switchbacks.
