Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
I worked on a research project and had to camp out every night for 3 months. I used the Teton 2. It worked well, mostly because it was 95+ degrees every night that summer. After steady use for about 5 weeks the rainfly ripped along the zipper flap. It packs up compactly and is easy to transport. The pegs are ridiculously flimsy and I made my own. When used in the rain condensation forms along all the walls which isn't nice if it is a chilly night. Fairs well in wind, but not real hard and fast wind.

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
This Kelty tent is a great deal for us 'non-professional' hikers to get outdoors a few weeekends a year...why shell out [$] for a 2-person tent when the Teton 2 will keep you snug, dry or cool for half of that amount. Setup is quick, it's EZ to place on a footprint and is roomy for one; two campers should be, er, friends.Kelty seems to lead the way making affordable, practical yet durable camping gear without one having to take out a second trust deed on the house!

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
I'm convinced you can't get a better backpacking tent for the money. This tent is just over 4 lbs, packs small, the easiest tent I've ever set up, and has a vestibule (a must for me).
I have a Sierra Designs Stretch Dome, which cost me 4X as much, but I take this tent on my trips probably 75% of the time. You just can't beat it!
I agree with some feedback that the vestibule is small. It is plenty big for my pack and my wife's pack on a 2 nighter, but if you plan on doing more than a few days, I agree that it would probably be small for two packs with that much gear.
The tent is a perfect one man tent, but also works great for my wife and me (in full disclosure, we are both thin - 6'3" 175 lbs, and 5'4" 110 lbs).
Another added bonus ... the poles fold up a little smaller than a typical tent, so the poles actually fit perfectly in the side pocket of my pack! Nice!!

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
This is a good all-around 2 person tent. It is lighter than many tents advertised as ultralight. It is easy to set up, and had adequate ventilation. It could use a little more mesh, and I would prefer it had 2 doors so there is no stepping over the 2nd occupant. But, overall, it is a good value!

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
I have yet to find a tent that weighs so little, as easy to setup, and so affordable! setup is super fast with the clips, not making you feed the poles through small... flat... fabric. and they fly is the perfect size, and nothing to pack around... this tent rivals my bivouac sack in convenience and size. give it a 11 mile hike with no complaints. why aren't they charging more for this?!

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
Well made and cleverly designed! Arrived weighing 4.9 oz packed. As the person capacity is listed for elves, i bought this as a solo tent for backpacking-needed a double-wall for AT. Fly design looked suspect so i ran a sprayer hose on it in the back yard for 1.5 hrs, from different directions (10mph winds)...NO leakage! The tents sloping walls shortened the usable length so at 6'1, i was hitting the ends lightly as i moved in my sleep. The high rise fly on the ends allowed me to add tabs on the ends of the tent and guy the end walls of the tent body out to the fly guylines-pulling the walls out...problem solved! (hey, for the price, what's the real risk?) Over-all, a good buy.

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
Kelty is right about good ventilation, maybe a little too much. Rainfly doesn't quite cover mesh on my tent. Overall however, excellent tent for the price! Light weight and very roomy (although I haven't had to share space). Great tent for warmer weather.

Endured 30 mph sustained winds up to 60 mph gusts for several hours. Great tent. Easy to set up quickly in driving rain. Plenty of room for my 6'5 225lbs frame.

Comments about Kelty Teton 2 Tent:
I received this tent as a gift and recently slept in for 3 weeks straight in every type of terrain and conditions you could think of. It held up very well in the worst thunderstorm I have ever camped in. There were no leaks, but in the morning there was some condensation that formed which can transfer inside the temp if the wall material is contacted. This could be fixed with a better rainfly design, or some silicone spray. I had some minor issues in the desert. I was on a semi-protected ridge in very high winds. The tent held up great, although the wall material flapped and was very loud the entire night. It was so loud that it kept me up the entire night. This tent is great for stargazing, and offers plenty of ventilation. It also comes with a small storage attic that can be tide above the sleeping area. The tent is pretty compact and light, perfect for the backcountry. 2 people could sleep in this tent, but I don't know how comfortable they would be. It's probably best suited as a single person tent. Changes that I would make would be add another door, increase vestibule area, and redesign the rainfly to cover the entire tent.
