Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

I wear these shoes nearly every day, to work, on the trail, running, backpacking, they can do it all. Extremely comfortable with just enough protection from rocks and other protrusions. More flexible and stickier soled than previous Nagevi models. This is the third pair of Nagevi that I have owned, I like this model the best of all the versions.

Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

Have had 2 pairs of these over the past few years. They provide good stability for a solid day hike and are comfortable enough to wear on an everyday basis. Only complaint is the lack of a full toe bumper.

Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

Just bought these and first trip was on a two day scramble with a short crampon section (Tomyhoi for you NW folks). They fit great and are super stable even with an overnight pack. Excellent traction, even on loose dirt trail and steep scrambling. Even handled strap-on crampons on low-angled snow without too much discomfort for a while. Toe box was roomy but not loose, providing a stable push-off platform, and had no slippage from the heels even though they have pretty low uppers. My only complaint is that I could feel sharp rocks through the soles a bit more than I would prefer. But what do you expect from a shoe billed as a cross-trainer? These will likely be my go-to shoes for most hiking applications.

Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

Had this shoe for a couple of years and it is a good overall "hiking" shoe. It really has the stiffness of a hiking boot in a low cut. If you are more interested in support and lasting ability than immediate comfort than this is a good choice. It does dry out pretty quick once wet since it's all man made materials.

Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

I've learned to stick with something that works well. (after some good looking but blister inducing past choices) Bought my first pair of these about 3-4 years ago. Second pair has lasted about two years of at least once/week long day hikes in the wasatch. (Although they are pretty beat up on the outside). Other days shorter climbing approaches. Felt that they were very comfortable straight out of the box. Nice fit for my average width and arched foot. There are cooler looking shoes out there but these things feel great for a light hiker and I have been very pleased with them and find myself ordering yet another pair.

Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

I have owned four pairs of these shoes. The are great, durable, very comforable shoes. All were great with the exception of my last pair 2007 model. They seemed way to tight on the top of my foot no matter how loose the laces were. (Only pair I ordered online) They also wore out too quickly, even before they were broke in.

I am planning on buying another pair, but I am going to fit them before purchasing. If they feel uncomfortable when you buy them they will be uncomfortable for the life of the shoe. If they fit right, they will be the best shoe you will ever own.

I've been wearing them to work and out hiking. I work two 16 hour shifts and am on my feet for at least 10 hours - after work my feet are killing me and I have blisters if I wear these shoes. I've taken them hiking and they resulted in blisters around my ankle. I had these for about 3 months and they STILL are not broken in, yet. Honestly, I hate these shoes. I would never tell anyone to buy them.

Comments about Garmont Nagevi Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:

This shoe started ripping out on me after a few months. The leather cracked and split on the side, the stitching on the toe bumper blew out, the tread under my heel is worn away, and the padding covering the heel cup ripped out to expose my heel to sharp plastic corners that poke and dig into my heel every time I wear them. My real problem is with Garmont. When I told them about the problems they sent me an email saying I needed to call their customer service and arrange to have my shoes shipped to them for inspection. I'm going back to Merrells.

Within one year of light use (twice a week), the heel fabric wore through to the plastic, and both rubber toe pieces delaminated. My first and last pair of Garmonts.
