Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
REI, please make this bag in black! Bought this as a man bag for my husband. He loves it and uses it to carry his PDA, MP3, GPS, etc. The organizational compartments are awesome. He has the green, but wishes they would make a black one.

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
I wanted a small bag to use around town. This one is perfect. It's small and compact but can hold a surprising amount of stuff and has lots of compartments to keep it all organized. My friend calls it my magic bag because I seem to always have inside my bag whatever anyone needs - tissues, lotion, handi-wipes, etc. She liked it so much I bought her one too.

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
I love this item because I can carry all of the items that would normally occupy my pockets: wallet, keys, cell phone, iPOD, and PDA. It really does have enough room to store a light windbreaker. There are places to store stuff based on how frequently you want to access it. I love that feature.

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
I was looking for a purse to take on the ferry to Alaska. This travel bag was perfect. I could pack it in my day pack or carry it over my shoulder. Many people have commented on how great the bag is. I bought an extra for myself and one for my sister-in-law because it's such a great bag!

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
After having a purse snatched, I searched for a bag that was small and light enough to always wear across my chest. After a couple of false starts, this fit the bill and allowed me to stop carrying a wallet as cards go in the interior slots and money in the outside, zippered pocket. I also carry a LOT of other stuff (camera, jeweler's loupe, wads of tissues, bundle of coupons, hard candies, gum, retracting X-acto, lipstick, sunglasses, keys, phone, pens, lighter, and more. It needs a wash, but otherwise isn't showing any signs of wear.

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
I wanted a travel purse that had enough room and organization features that was also small enough to not weigh me down, and this one fit the bill nicely. The wide strap was comfortable worn across my body and allowed me quick access to the bag's contents.

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
Really, it doesn't get much better than this for a compact man-bag or purse. This is very well designed, with well though out zippers, and the buckle flap is supurb.
Only minor quibbles:
* The "cell phone" pouch with holding strap is a bit small (can't hold a smartphone).
* The back pocket doesn't really need a velcro closure (it more annoying to have to peel it open everytime you want to quickly stash something back there)
* strap is not removable (i.e. if it breaks, you can't put a new one on), but I'd guess that was a design trade off to shave some weight, which is fair.

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
I have had a love-hate relationship with purses for years... I don't understand why they have to be so big and bulky and uncomfortable to carry! So I bought this little bag one day at REI and I'm so happy with it... it's small and compact enough to put into my backpack for bike commuting, but it holds everything! I love that it has a built in organizer so I never have to worry about losing my wallet, and it's really secure because of the zipper and flap combination. I really like all the pockets that close securely. The strap is plenty long enough to wear cross-body, which is always a problem for me because I'm almost 6' tall. I wish it came in leather so it would look a little more dressy, but I am happy with the fabric it's made of. I got the 'sienna' color and I've been using it daily for 6+ months and it isn't showing any sign of wear. My friend liked it so much she got the same one in black/grey! Thank you REI!

Comments about REI Travel Day Bag:
I bought this to use as an everyday purse. I found that the clip on the front flap was very annyoing to have to unhook all the time. Also, the credit card slots do not fit cards lengthwise, you have to put them in vertically so they are kinda loose and would fall out if you dumped the bag over. But overall it seems to be well made and hold lots of stuff. Just wasn't right for me.
