Comments about The North Face HIM 35 Tent:
This is a great tent but pretty pricey. i bought it when i got a 20% off coupon so that helped a lot, but it makes me think I could have gotten just as good of a mountaineering tent for less if it wasnt north face. but this is the first time I bought a nice tent like this.
its pretty heavy and the poles are pretty big since the fly even uses poles (which is nice because you can set up the fly by itself if you wanna just use it as a warm weather shelter) but if you are backpacking you can always just share the weight with the other people, if you have the tent, your partner can carry cookware or something else to balance your weight.
the material is very nice quality and the floor fabric feels very nice. I didn't know the zippers actually glow in the dark really bright which was a nice surprise when I was camping last weekend.
if you can afford it I would recommend it, and its pretty roomy for a 3 person tent.

Comments about The North Face HIM 35 Tent:
The North Face HIM 35 is a great tent. It was extremely easy to set-up. Good thing as my wife and I had just arrived in Denali Park for July 4th weekend. We had just taken our new tent out of its carry case when we heard thunder and noticed the clouds coming up fast. We had the tent with rainfly set-up in less than 10 minutes (without instructions) and our first time setting it up. We had heavy rain for near an hour as we sat inside, curious but confident that our new HIM 35 would keep us dry and fend off the wind. The rain passed and we were as dry as can be! The sun came out, we went fishing, did some hiking, and slept peacefully each night all weekend long. Another great feature is having an entrance/exit on the front and back - very convenient! It's a little on the heavy side if you plan to backpack it, but easily fixed if you and your partner split the difference. Highly recommended!
