The spectacular Ultra Light jacket in women's extended sizes features two-way stretch ensuring great performance and an ultra-comfortable fit.

Waterproof, breathable 2.5-layer REI Elements®/nylon with microporous polyurethane coating is seam-sealed for complete protection
Windproof to 60 mph
Two-way mechanical stretch delivers unlimited range of motion and feels remarkably comfortable over bulky layers like fleece
Fully adjustable, zip-off brimmed hood stores inside collar; when you zip off the hood the neck flap covers the zipper for a clean look
Bonded front placket keeps wet weather and wind from penetrating; rip-and-stick closures secure placket
Brushed collar lining is soft against skin
Pit zippers let you vent body heat quickly
Hem drawcord and elastic cuffs with laminated adjustment tabs help seal out the elements
Chest pocket has invisible zipper while two zip hand pockets and sleeve pocket feature bonded plackets

First of all, thank you for finally carrying a jacket for us larger folks who want quality in our size! This is perfect for walking (or commuting) in the rain, and I'm looking forward to using it while snowshoeing.I have 2 concerns: 1. The zipper IMMEDIATELY separated at the bottom. If I do not use the bottom snap, the zipper separates--and it is not a 2-way zipper[*] This appears to be the biggest flaw. 2. The wrist closures must be quickly adjusted right after putting the jacket on. I suffered numerous scratches from the velcro when I did not fasten them at the wrist.Still, I'm thrilled to have a waterproof jacket in my size. Please make more!

Used for multi-climate two month trip through South America. Also use at home in Alaska as everyday rain jacket.

Used this jacket in combination with a NorthFace Windwall vest for warmth/wind protection trekking for three weeks in Patagonian Andes.
Used as breathable wind protection (open the underarms) in high-altitude Atacama desert.
Used in combination with rain pants as waterproof jacket in Peruvian jungle during the rainy season.

Compresses small enough to store in hip-belt pocket of backpack. Very happy with performance.

Overall, the jacket is stylish and fits very nice. I ordered online, ordered a medium, and got a medium that fit like a medium (online shoppers get what i mean).

I bought this as a rain jacket but have ended up using it almost daily. It is warm enough to use for most Seattle winter days when it is all zipped up. No troubles with zippers and plenty of pockets for such a light jacket. I would buy another if it was offered in more colors.
