    Along with camping, hiking etc. I spend a lot of time working outdoors so I buy my clothes accordingly. I thought I found the perfect shirt with this one ... very very comfortable, light and great features like pit zips and useful pockets. But upon closer inspection when trying the shirt on at home I realized how poor the fit was. I'm 6'1, 175# and the medium is huge on me. Yet the sleeves feel are much too short. I feel like I'm wearing a puffy, billowy PIRATE SHIRT. I also dislike the tabs to hold up the sleeves ... they are way too long and because the shirt's so "roomy" (pirate shirt) and the fabric has a slippery feel to it, the inside of the rolled up sleeve unravels and ends up at my forearm while the outside if the sleeve is still clipped above the elbow. This is not only annoying, but it inhibits movement as well.
    I would still recommend this shirt because I know some people like a more "generous cut" (pirate shirt) and it's a very comfortable shirt with great features. I would love to see this offered in a tall-size version like the Sahara shirt (which I prefer to this)

    I have taken this backpacking or camping almost every weekend for 6 months. So far it smells a bit, everything is faded but the sleeves (rolled up all the time) and it has holes melted in it. Even after all that I still love it and plan on using it for a long time.

      I own 2 of these and love the all the options especially the pit zips and the 50 UV protection is important. When hiking in Death Valley it pays big benefits or anywhere else too! Just wish they had more color choices!

      This shirt is great for keeping you cool. The only gripe I have about this shirt are the sleeve loops. They are too long and the sleeves tend to roll down a bit. Not a major thing, but annoying.

      I bought this shirt for the pit zips and UPF sun protection factor, and it's great for both of those. Vented back yokes don't do any good when you're wearing a backpack. The cut is a little odd - sleeves are billowy in the forearms, but plenty long; the overall hem length seems a bit short as it comes untucked easily.

      After several day hikes and one multi-day backpack, the fabric has chaffed/pilled in some places where pack straps rub, but not too badly.

      I also like the pockets (I don't like the pleated patch pockets on many similar shirts), and the fold-up collar. Would have liked other color choices.

        Took this shirt on a trip to Rwanda to go gorilla trekking. This is the perfect shirt for that climate. Equatorial sun - long sleeves are a good idea. The back flap to protect your neck is also great. Temps there are fairly cool - similar to Hawaii. Great shirt for nighttime when the mosquitoes are out.

        Downside - I wish a version came without the pockets - I prefer flat fronted shirts. Not wild about one pocket let alone two.
