Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
Love that they are earth friendly. Good, if baggy, fit. Comfortable. Main problem is that the sides of the cargo pockets get caught on all kinds of protrusions. They need to be sewed down to the leg on the sides. Still, I wear them often and own 4 pairs.

Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
These are great pants. The down side is that they are only in hard to work with colors this year. I got 2 pairs last year, khaki and dark brown, and they go with a lot of shirts I have. This year I purchased the bronze color. The "clay" color is a hidious shade of green that doesn't go with anything, and the bronze looks bad with most colors. If you want to look like you didn't get dressed in the dark, make sure you go out and find something that goes with the color you get, because the chances of something in your closet looking good with them is highly unlikely. They even look bad with black!

Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
I bought these pants for hiking due to the fact that jeans and other types of pants restrict movement and don't breathe. As it turns out, I wear these pants for EVERYTHING. I consider them my everyday pants and just ordered another pair. I have had them for about 2 years now and just started to show signs of wear. I would like to think that I put them through some pretty good paces as well. Great for cool spring/fall days and loose enough that you can put a base payer underneath and wear them in the cold winters of Minnesota. My favorite part of them is that the ankles are large enough to go over any boot or shoe. I hate pants with tapered legs. Quick drying, breath well and convenient. Pockets are great for storage, however the only downside to the pants is that the cargo pockets can get caught on things once in a while. Not a big deal, it's the downside of cargo pockets on any pants. On the positive side, they have never torn. The cell pocket fits my Blackberry perfectly without making it tough to remove. The smaller pocket on the right side of the waist holds my Leatherman Juice perfectly, however after 2 years it is starting to tear at the bottom. My wife has offered to reinforce the small pocket with leather so I don't have to give them up! Bottom line, great pants and totally worth the price. As for the people with issues on color, these aren't dress pants, so stop trying to make them that. They serve their greatest purpose with amazing style....outdoor adventures.

I have worn REI Slickrock pants 3-5times a week for the last 3 years. These pants are the best pants I have ever owned and would recommend these pants to anyone who wants comfortable/durable pants that you can wear practically anywhere.

Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
I talked my boss into letting me try these pants out for work. I am a cable guy and we have to ware long pants. In the past we have always used jeans for toughness but they were always so hot in the summer. These pants have worked out great. They are light weight and breathable. The extra pockets are very use full as well. The only problem is the button on the fly had broken on two pairs of pants.

Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
I bought a pair of these last year and I wear them quite a bit. They are soft and light, and kind of like a well broken-in pair of BDUs, but they have a nice mesh-lined waist that doesn't chafe at all. Good for cool - warm weather, loose enough to put a base layer under, and light enough that they aren't uncomfortable if it gets warm out.
I actually came by to get another pair. They are a good buy if you can find them ON SALE.

Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
These pants are nice, well made and durable feeling. Its slightly lighter than slacks but thats ok, somehow it still blocks the wind pretty well since i ride a motorcycle.
My only complaint is the 'cell phone' pocket is useless, my old Nokia 6230 fits perfectly, too perfectly to where i could not extract the phone easily. I'm about to get a smartphone type and i know its not going to fit at all. I'd say ditch the cell phone pocket.
Also while riding my motorcycle, items on the top pockets (the normal pockets) feel horizontal or greater, making me wonder if the items are still there after riding. Longer pockets would be nice.

Comments about REI Slickrock Pants - Men's 30'' Inseam:
Most comfortable, non restrictive pants I have owned. The brown color is seriously ugly. I have two pair of clay but they are very different colors - the darker I like, the other lighter color not so much. As hiking, casual wear that is so comfortable, I don't care what color they are. At a fashion show, I would feel out of place.
