Comments about Marmot Destination Coat - Women's:
Marmot has yet to disappoint me. I ordered this jacket hoping it would keep me warm and dry in the Seattle drizzle and would be stylish enough to wear to work or out on the town in the evening; it does all of that. It's great for rain and wind, but it's a very lightweight fabric (making it an ideal layering piece) but needs a sweater or fleece to supplement it in colder weather (no zip-in option). I wish it were a little more tailored at the waist (it's a bit big on me there, though it fits perfectly everywhere else), but the buttons on the half-belt do provide some adjustment. The "ash" color is a lovely light stone khaki color, and I know I'll get plenty of use out of this coat.

Great rain coat. Kept me dry in these summer thunderstorms. Only wish is more color choices like green and red.

Comments about Marmot Destination Coat - Women's:
I just bought this coat and I love it! I've been looking for something that is cute and stylish, but protected me from the rain. And it's hard to find something with a hood! I also like that it is lined, so you don't see the ugly waterproof membrane. This totally has everything I was looking for. I thought it was a little roomy - I'm normally between a small and medium, but closer to a medium. I went down to the small on this because the medium was HUGE.

Comments about Marmot Destination Coat - Women's:
Fit is a bit large - I'm 5'9" and usually wear a size 10, but I ordered a small and there is room for a fleece under it
Stylish but the fabric gets pilled easily and then snags on the velcro, which pills it more. I am returning it, as much as I like the style.
Also, the pockets are not that useful because if you use the inside breast pocket, it destroys the "look" of the coat.
I'm going back to the North Face Grace Parka - got tons of compliments on it when I had it, but its waterproofing doesn't last as long as Marmot's. Trade off is worth it.

Comments about Marmot Destination Coat - Women's:
Loved everything about this coat EXCEPT the velcro. It ruined the coat itself, snagging the sleeves and making the new coat look very old and tattered very fast. Velcro closures also snagged my silk and knit scarves fast and thoroughly. Because of the velcro, I returned it. If they made it without the velcro, it would be PERFECT.

Comments about Marmot Destination Coat - Women's:
loved the look of this coat but, the fabric, pilled excessively from contact with the velcro. It destroyed the coat. Now it looks shabby and I have only worn it for two wet seasons in the east bay. So disappointing b/c it cost a lot for me.

Comments about Marmot Destination Coat - Women's:
I love how lightweight this coat is and how it keeps me warm and comfortable even when it's raining outside. It's very packable, has lots of large pockets which I like. The fit is loose enough that I can wear a fleece under this. I wish it was shaped a bit better/had a more modern fit as I feel like the Queen (without the head scarf) when I wear this out with my Hunter boots in the rain. I took this jacket with me to Barcelona and ended up not wearing it because it looked a bit frumpy; I now have a new Lole (they're known for a better fit) jacket that functions well and also looks very sharp.I want to note as with other reviewers here that the velcro tabs on this coat has actually ruined my coat - I noticed a bit too late that if I put the coat on without purposely closing all of the velcro tabs that run the length of the coat the open hooks will eventually cause the sleeves to pill. My coat now looks horribly pilled and ratty, so badly that I am debating returning it. When you pay more than [$] for a coat it should be better designed than this. The fabric is wonderful but the velcro was a baaaad idea Marmot!
