For women backpackers, this ultralight 35° F goose down bag is cozy and extremely compressible.

  • Designed for women with a narrow cut at the shoulders and more width at the hips
  • Premium 750-fill-power goose down is efficiently distributed for maximum comfort with 60% of the down on top and 40% on the bottom
  • Tightly woven, lightweight ripstop polyester and soft taffeta lining are silky, breathable and downproof
  • Vertical Baffle construction allows the goose down to remain fully lofted and keeps it from shifting and migrating, preventing cold spots
  • Vertical Baffles also prevent down from shifting to the sides and keeps more down on top of the bag where it keeps you warmer
  • In-The-Round construction wraps vertical baffles around from head to foot creating a three-dimensional tube that surrounds you in warmth
  • Differentiated drawcords (one round, one flat) let you adjust hood and neck easily in the dark
  • Pad loops provide attachment points to keep your sleeping bag and pad together to avoid rolling off onto the cold ground (straps sold separately)
  • Roomy hood and footbox, full-length draft tube and draft collar keep heat in, cold out
  • Hood's spacious design lets you comfortably place a pillow inside without the hood becoming too tight
  • Internal pocket keeps watch, glasses and other small essentials handy

    You get great value for your money with this bag. It kept my wife toasty at 40dF at 5500' while wearing only silk underwear, and she normally sleeps cold. Could easily go to 35dF. She also liked it unzipped and laying on top of her like a quilt at 50-60dF, her feet in the foot pocket. Breathes well, so it doesn't get hot like synthetics. Very compressible and lightweight. The fabric is like silk, with a great feel on the bare skin. Not all the bells and whistles like a built-in collar, but you'd not want that in a 3-season bag, anyway. If we were to have one bag, this would be it!

    I am 5'4 1/2" tall. I ordered this bag based on the description that it fits up to 5'6". I found it to be a little short. My feet hit the end of the bag. I exchanged it for the long version--will write a complete review once I try it out! Looks like it will be another great product from REI.

    Received excellent customer service from REI. I had to exchange the bag for a "long". They made the exchange process easy.
