Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
Before you get mad at a product and give it a bad review pay attention to what you're buying in the first place. The packaging says right on these gloves that they aren't seam sealed which means wind and water have a way to get through. Aside from the weakness in this area these gloves excel in all other ways. They are very warm during active outdoor activities in cold weather (not just walking to a friends house in the cold, actually doing something ie snowboarding, climbing etc.) They also allow almost full dexterity so your grip on your ice tool or rock ledge can be sure. They would even be good for working in cold weather, allowing full use of a hammer or other tools. Hunters could use them and still get a good grip on their rifle etc. They are versatile gloves is what I'm driving at. I use them throughout the winter, spring, summer and fall mostly for general mountaineering and 14er climbs. They also were my summit day gloves for Orizaba although we had uncommonly warm weather above 18,000 feet. I definitely recommend them despite the poor overall rating, just know what you are getting.

These gloves aren't waterproof by any means. But they are very wind resistant and have a nice fit. Because of this, they're the best gloves I've found for bicycling in cold weather (down to around 30 degrees F).

Got these gloves as a replacement to Seal Skinz. Found that these gloves are not waterproof. They are more insulated than Seal Skinz, thus serve my purposes slightly better, but they don't repel water at all, it seems. I have, however, experienced that they will dry reasonably quickly if you squeeze the excess water out of them and continue wearing them.

Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
My own fault, I should have tested these before I left for the trip. These gloves remind me exactly of Sealskinzs gloves.....they leak like they were cotton gloves with no liners at all. The first time I wore these they leaked so badly I just took them off and wore no gloves at all. Then I tried another pair by putting my hand in water and the water came through as if I were wearing a pair of cotton gloves, bummer because they fit and feel pretty good.

Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
This glove is excellent for active sports in cold weather (hiking, scrambling, climbing) down to at least the low 20's F. It is not intended to keep you warm when standing around, but will work for this adequately if you cover your head, and put on layers over your core.
The glove does get wet, but if you are active you will stay warm and this is not a problem. It is tough to put back on when wet (if you take it off).
Dexterity is about as good as it gets for a glove of this thickness.

Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
I've used these gloves a few times during hiking excursions and just wearing them around during this winter. They have never kept my hands warm and I finally took them back and exchanged them this evening. They may repel some water, but that's no use if you're hands are cold anyway. I wouldn't recommend these for any use: some people have said they're okay for shoveling your driveway, etc, but if that's all you're going to use them for you'd be better off buying a ten dollar pair of cheap gloves - do not spend your money on these.

Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
Not only are they not weatherproof, once they get wet (and thus cold), they are difficult to get dry. The seams in the fingers are somewhat uncomfortable, but even worse is how cold air seems to be funneled through them.

Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
I knew the gloves were not waterproof, but just plain old wool gloves are much better in rain. My main complaint is the poor quality of the gloves. After 2 months the seams are falling apart and the elastic is splitting from the fabric. I am sorry that REI sells such a substandard product.

Comments about Seirus All Weather Gloves - Men's:
I ride my bike around town. I wear the pvc rain suit and use a Sealine pvc backpack. I never bothered about keeping my hands dry before, so I thought I would try this year.
Within a few blocks of the house toward the university, my fingers already became wet. Sure, it was raining, but not pouring.
I was hoping these gloves would be waterproof because they are comfortable and easy to stuff in a pocket. I had also hoped to use them as an extra barrier under my motorcycle gloves.
I will definitely return these and try a different brand of waterproof gloves. Good luck to you.
