With 100mm of plush suspension, a tough, lightweight wheelset, brand-name disc brakes and trigger shifting, the 2.0 is a serious mountain machine!

  • RockShox front fork evens out the bumps with 100mm of travel and adjustable preload
  • SRAM Trigger shifters let a rider shift with thumb and first finger rather than hand and wrist, as with less-sophisticated twist shifters
  • SRAM 8-speed cassette and Truvatic triple crankset provide a wide-ranging 24 speeds for assertive hill and cross-country rides
  • Hayes mechanical disc brakes provide dependable stopping power no matter the terrain or weather
  • Frame is constructed of 6061aluminum tubing for lightness and strength, and gusset-reinforced at the critical junction of the down tube and head tube
  • Lightweight wheelset features durable Alex ID19 double-wall rims and smooth-rolling, disc-compatible hubs
  • Kenda Klaw XT tires feature feature front- and rear-specific tread for aggressive traction and positive control

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
