Love the watch! Very classy and light field watch. Styling is great - like the offset date indicator. Of course it's very accuarate since it's a quartz watch. The band is comfortable, but does have this odd design of folding over the tail of the band after it goes through the buckle (a little extra bulk for me since my wrist is smaller; probably not a problem for larger-wristed men). No problems at all with buckle paint chipping as previously described and I've taken it kayaking and used while in the yard. Only complaint is that the indicators barely glow. So...great watch for daytime and outdoors, but won't do you any good while in the movies.

I was immediately attracted to this watch. It looked great in the photos, and it seemed just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the closest REI didn't have one in stock for me to try on. I took a chance and ordered it. It's obviously a well-made watch. But I have to tell you: it is HUGE! The dial/face is a full 1 1/4 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch larger than my other sport watch. Seems like you could hang it on your wall for a wall clock. I'm not the smallest guy in town, but I had to use the last/smallest setting on the band. The end of the band is supposed to be tucked back in under the metal bar. In my case it created a huge loop of band that stuck out, ready to catch on something. Plus it looked terrible. [...]

Works great and looks good doing it. Light, comfortable and easy to read at a glance. I bought it for casual outdoor use, but it has replaced my nicer watch for work wear too. Haven't had any problems with buckle wear as mentioned in other review (maybe it's been upgraded).

This watch caught my eye in the display case and I asked to try it on. I couldn't believe how light it was. The only thing that I would change is that the indicators that glow do not stay charged for very long. 30 minutes in the dark and you have to squint to read the time. Otherwise a very good watch.

I'm a farmer and was looking for a watch that would be easy to use, easy to read, and that would withstand the hard physical work. I looked at the options online, read reviews, and thought this watch looked solid.

I didn't like the watch and returned it to a REI store nearby.

Immediately out of the box, I had misgivings. The watch looked and felt cheaper than I expected. Given what I was looking at, I thought the price was too high. Honestly, I thought, somebody's trying to make a quick buck . . . create a brand, buy the parts cheap, price high to imply quality, make profit.

Within a couple or three weeks, there was moisture inside the case. That was it. Goodbye watch.

I agree with another viewer who complained that the glow-in-the-dark feature only lasts an hour or so. But worse, the wristband has a black metal buckle, and within one week of wear, the black paint peeled off, leaving a gun-metal gray finish. Pretty disappointing for a "sports" watch.

I really wanted to like this watch. I appreciate its simple design and light weight, and was optimistic about the durability of the titanium watch head.

In my opinion, Bertucci's quality control at present leaves a lot to be desired.

I received my watch as a Christmas gift. It was a little scratched up right out of the box so I looked at 7 more of the same watch at REI.

All of them either had a cosmetic issue such as a noticeable scratch or uneven machining, or they had a problem with the second hand where it did not line up accurately with the second marks on the dial as it ticked around. Several had both of these issues.

I ended up keeping my original watch which was the least scratched and most evenly machined, and also didn't have the second hand issue.

If you care about these sorts of issues and decide to purchase this watch, I highly recommend that you buy it in person rather than sight unseen.

Unfortunately, in just over a month, this watch is now far more battered looking than a stainless steel watch I've worn daily for several years. I wouldn't characterize myself as hard on watches. I've worn this watch mainly to the office when I'm dressed casually or on weekends.

I found that while the titanium doesn't really scratch easily (i.e. it seems fairly abrasion resistant), it does gouge and dent rather easily (i.e. it appears to be rather soft).

Overall, I'm disappointed, and debating whether to return it for a refund. But I can say, I would really like this watch if it was more resistant to wear.

Whatever issues they had with the bands a while back seems to have been fixed. The bands are really solid and feel like they will last for many years. This is a very comfortable watch that is built to take abuse. the raised bevel protects the crystal and the solid titanium case is one peice, including the band pins, so it is really tough. It looks better in person than in the pictures. If you are looking for a tough, but good looking analog watch, this is it.

I do lots of marine field work (fishing and tagging of large animals), bushwalking, kayaking, and other sports. I find this watch great. Very light, easy to read, and takes a beating. One of the best features is the fact there are no spring loaded pins holding the strap to the watch body. The watch body is one piece with slits in either side, so the single nylon band strap slides behind it. If I'm hanging over the side of a boat, I don't need to worry about knocking it, breaking a thin pin, and losing my watch in the ocean (as my friends have done with other watches). I have a nice Omega Seamaster watch and find I barely use it any longer. I've beaten on the Bertucci for about 18 months. The paint has scraped off the buckle clasp on it as others have commented. So what. It's under your wrist and it's advertised as a field watch.
